  • Publication number: 20240103645
Abstract: A computer input system includes a mouse including a housing having an interior surface defining an internal volume and a sensor assembly disposed in the internal volume. A processor is electrically coupled to the sensor assembly and a memory component having electronic instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to determine an orientation of the mouse relative to a hand based on a touch input from the hand detected by the sensor assembly. The mouse can also have a circular array of touch sensors or lights that detect hand position and provide orientation information to the user.

  • Patent number: 5313215
Abstract: A satellite identification system for identifying a communications satellite from which a broadcast communication signal is being received by an antenna, wherein the communication signal includes data identifying a programmer that broadcast the communication signal and/or an uplink location from which the communication signal is broadcast. The system includes a memory storing a look-up table correlating satellite identification data for a plurality of satellites with the programmer identification data and/or the uplink location data for the plurality of satellites; means for detecting the programmer identification data and/or the uplink location data from a communication signal received by the antenna from one of the plurality of satellites; and means for accessing the look-up table in response to the detected programmer identification data and/or the uplink location data to retrieve the satellite identification data for the satellite from which the communication signal is received.

  • Patent number: 4332842
Abstract: Solid woven conveyor belting is produced by a process which includes the steps of subjecting the fabric carcass to a plurality of alternating changes of direction while immersed in a bath of impregnant material, and then heating the carcass to gel the impregnant. Each of the alternating changes of direction are effected by causing the carcass to follow a generally curved path whose radius of curvature is appreciably less than 75 mm. Prior to immersion, a synthetic polymeric yarn-containing carcass is subjected to a shrinking treatment effective to close the interstices of said carcass to some extent to reduce the impregnant material expelled upon subsequent heating to gel the impregnant.
