  • Patent number: 11879844
Abstract: An example device includes an array of sensor modules. A sensor module includes a body to be positioned in alignment with a planar target, a light source coupled to the body to emit light to the planar target along a source optical path, and a plurality of light sensors coupled to the body. Each light sensor is to sense a different wavelength of light received from the planar target along a sensor optical path. The sensor optical path is different from the source optical path. The bodies of the array of sensor modules are arranged in a planar tiling pattern with respect to a longitudinal axis of the planar target.

  • Patent number: 11471778
Abstract: A system may enable a plurality of users to engage a plurality of different devices, which operate on a respective platform of a plurality of different platforms, in a time dependent manner. The system may include a data management apparatus (DMA). The DMA may include a local DMA associated with the plurality of different devices. The DMA may include a remote DMA configured to receive and collate a plurality of data inputs from the plurality of devices in a synchronized manner, generate and relay a merged standardized data output to the plurality of devices. When demerged, the merged standardized data output may provide the plurality of devices access to the plurality of experiences for which each of the plurality of devices is enabled. The DMA may be configured to take a time dependent frame from each of the plurality of users and merge them to form a merged frame.

  • Patent number: 9083683
Abstract: The encryption/decryption device includes a plaintext unit, a ciphertext unit and a cryptographic unit connected therebetween. The plaintext unit may include a logic device such as a first programmable logic device (PLD), e.g. a field programmable gate array (FPGA), for interfacing with the protected network to perform encapsulation of data from the protected network to define outgoing datagrams, and to perform decapsulation of incoming datagrams from the cytographic unit. The ciphertext unit may include a second logic device such as a PLD or FPGA for interfacing with the unprotected network to perform routing of incoming encrypted datagrams from the unprotected network to the cryptographic unit, and to perform routing of outgoing encrypted datagrams from the cryptographic unit to the unprotected network.

  • Patent number: 8379204
Abstract: A method makes a discrete adjustment to static alignment of a laser beam in a machine for selectively irradiating conductive links on or within a semiconductor substrate using the laser beam. The laser beam propagates along a beam path having an axis extending from a laser to a laser beam spot at a location on or within the semiconductor substrate. The method generates, based on at least one measured characteristic of the laser beam, at least one signal to control an adjustable optical element of the machine affecting the laser beam path. The method also sends said at least one signal to the adjustable optical element. The method then adjusts the adjustable optical element in response to said at least one signal so as to improve static alignment of the laser beam path axis.

  • Patent number: 7884149
Abstract: A nanocomposite material suitable for electrical insulation includes a polymer compounded with a substantially homogeneously distributed functionalized nanoparticle filler. The nanocomposite material is produced by compounding the polymer with the functionalized nanoparticle filler by imparting a shear force to a mixture of the polymer and filler capable of preventing agglomeration of the filler whereby the filler is substantially homogeneously distributed in the nanocomposite material. The electrical insulation may be adapted for AC or DC high voltage, and may also be adapted for low or medium voltage to prevent formation of water tree structures.

  • Patent number: 5138184
Abstract: A solid state, static power supply control mechanism for coordinated transfer of a load from a preferred source of AC power to an alternate source of AC power should the level of power transmitted from the preferred source fall below a set, adjustable level and thereafter, upon re-establishment of the proper level of operating power of the preferred source, re-transfer of the load from the alternate source to the preferred source. A unique method of current interlock prevents the alternate power source from connecting to the load until the current from the preferred source is absolutely interrupted, with the same criteria required for re-transfer from the alternate to the preferred source of power. This mechanism and associated switching technique insures supply of power to the load regardless of the preferred power source failure mode and regardless of the phase relation of the preferred and alternate sources of power.

  • Patent number: 4445277
Abstract: A device as disclosed to facilitate the placement of locks into doors including key-in-knob lock sets, mortise deadlocks as well as independent knobs and deadbolts. The device includes a body which is detachably securable with respect to a door edge in which it includes calibrations or gradations therealong in order to align the correct spacing normally independently measured by a locksmith. The body member defines an aperture along the portion adjacent to the edge of the door, which aperture is adapted to receive selectively a plate for guiding of boring in through the edge as well as to receive a plate for guiding of routing out the edge of the door about the bored out hole to provide a recess to receive the face of the locking mechanism. The pilot block for guiding of the boring is movable with respect to the plate placed into the aperture of the body.
