  • Publication number: 20220284994
Abstract: A computer-implemented method performed at a user device for obtaining health-related data is disclosed. The method comprises receiving, over a communications network, a data collection configuration from a health monitoring system, the data collection configuration comprising schedule data defining a schedule of data collection activities to be performed at the user device, each data collection activity for acquiring at the user device respective health-related data. Based on the schedule data, a target time at which each data collection activity is to be performed is determined; and the data collection activities are initiated at the user device in accordance with their respective determined target times to obtain health-related data for the data collection activities. Result data is then transmitted to the health monitoring system based on the obtained health-related data.

  • Publication number: 20220284995
Abstract: A method is performed in a health study management system for collecting health-related data from user devices associated with participants in a health study. The health-related data may include: data indicative of user health, and source data from which data indicative of user health can be derived. The method includes receiving a health study configuration specifying data collection activities for a health study and scheduling information for the data collection activities. For each study participant, a data collection configuration is generated including schedule data based on the health study configuration for a user device associated with the study participant. The schedule data defines a schedule of data collection activities performed at the user device, each data collection activity obtaining respective health-related data for the study participant. The data collection configuration generated is transmitted to each user device to configure data collection activities to be performed at the user device.

  • Publication number: 20220265152
Abstract: A catheter, such as a fractional flow reserve catheter, includes an elongate shaft having a proximal end optionally coupled to a handle or luer fitting and a distal end having a distal opening. A pressure sensing wire extends to the distal portion of the elongate shaft to be coupled to a pressure sensor mounted on the distal end for measuring a pressure of a fluid within lumen of vessel. The pressure sensor wire is disposed within a pocket formed adjacent to the pressure sensor thereby minimizing the profile of the catheter. Bending or flexing stress or strain experienced by a pressure sensor mounted to a fractional flow reserve catheter when tracking the catheter through the vasculature creates a distortion of the sensor resulting in an incorrect pressure reading or bend error. In order to isolate the sensor from bending or flexing stress and strain, the sensor is mounted so that the sensor is spaced apart from the elongate shaft of the catheter.

  • Patent number: 11422858
Abstract: A workload/processor resource scheduling system is coupled to a processing system. The workload/processor resource scheduling system monitors a performance of first workload(s) by the processing system according to a workload/processor resource schedule, and identifies a correlation between the performance of the first workload(s) according to the workload/processor resource schedule, and an operating level of a processing system operating parameter for the processing system when performing the first workload(s) according to the workload/processor resource schedule. Based on the correlation, the workload/processor resource schedule and the processing system operating parameter are linked.

  • Patent number: 11397193
Abstract: A method and apparatus are for movement analysis. The apparatus and method receive acceleration data from an accelerometer (or measurements from other motion sensors) that is carried by a user. The acceleration data is divided into epochs and a determination is made as to whether the user is walking or running within each epoch. Consecutive epochs in which the user is found to be walking may be concatenated to determine periods of time during which the user is walking or running. An initial estimate of the time that the user starts to walk or run and stops walking or running are determined for each period of walking. An iterative optimization process is then performed to determine accurate start and stop times for the period of walking or running.

  • Publication number: 20220222094
Abstract: Presented are systems and methods for implementing configuration modes of operation for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments that receive display information, such as monitor count capability information and monitor resolution capability information, from an administrator or elements in a VDI environment and use that display information to generate a recommendation for a virtual desktop display (VDD) configuration that may comprise an initial monitor count and an initial monitor resolution. Elements in the VDI environment are queried to obtain VDD utilization information, such as actual window counts and sizes. The VDD utilization information is then used to update the VDD configuration recommendation to conserve computing resources or enhance a user experience.

  • Patent number: 11334487
Abstract: Shared memory caching resolves latency issues in computing nodes associated with a cluster in a virtual computing environment. A portion of random access memory in one or more of the computing nodes is allocated for shared use by the cluster. Whenever local cache memory is unable in one of the computing nodes, a cluster neighbor cache allocated in a different computing node may be utilized as remote cache memory. Neighboring computing nodes may thus share their resources for the benefit of the cluster.

  • Patent number: 11307050
Abstract: An apparatus and method determine movement information for a user that carries an accelerometer whilst moving. The apparatus receives acceleration data from the accelerometer defined relative to a frame of reference of the accelerometer. A transformation is determined and applied to the acceleration data or to data derived from the acceleration data to determine acceleration data is a user frame of reference that includes a user direction of travel and a side to side direction transverse to the user direction of travel. The acceleration data or data derived from the acceleration data is analyzed to determine a time period corresponding either to a user stride period or to a step period as the user is walking or running; and information about accelerations in the side to side direction are used to disambiguate whether the determined time period corresponds to the user stride period or to the user step period.
