    Abstract: A head-mountable flow generator is configured to deliver a flow of breathable gas at a continuously positive pressure with respect to ambient air pressure to a patient interface in communication with an entrance to a patient's airways including at least an entrance of the patient's nares, while the patient is sleeping, to ameliorate sleep disordered breathing. The flow generator includes a motor, an impeller assembly and housing that encases the motor and the impeller assembly. A stator directs an air flow from the first impeller back towards the motor axis. The housing includes an inlet adjacent the first end of the shaft having an inlet axis generally coincident with the motor axis and at least one outlet between the first and second impellers. The at least one outlet has an outlet axis generally tangential to the motor axis.

The air flow passage is axially offset from a tank inlet. In addition, a cross-section of the airflow passage inlet and a cross-section of the tank air inlet are substantially perpendicular to a horizontal plane. In addition, a flexible face seal is positioned at an end of the air flow passage. An end of the face seal is configured to abut a side wall of the tank that includes the tank inlet when the tank is received in the base unit.

A customer checkout accelerator provides a customer user interface to initiate a request for a preapproval amount for a sales transaction before reaching the point of sale terminal for completion of the purchase transaction. A card reader integrated into the customer checkout accelerator reads a customer payment card number when the payment card is swiped through the reader. A customer checkout accelerator server module resident on a store controller server determines a preapproval amount for the sales transaction and transmits the request to an external card services system for payment approval. The customer checkout accelerator also provides the ability to purchase additional promotional items in the checkout lane with this process integrated into the payment preapproval process.

    Abstract: A respiratory apparatus evaluates accuracy of a pressure sensor, such as when only a single pressure sensor is provided. The accuracy of the pressure sensor may be assessed based on pressure measurement obtained from the pressure sensor and a subordinate or secondary characteristic of the respiratory device such as altitude or atmospheric pressure. A controller or processor may calculate the altitude of the respiratory device based in part on the pressure measurement. In some embodiments, the assessment of the pressure sensor may involve an evaluation of the calculated altitude. In some cases, the assessment of the pressure sensor may involve determining an estimated pressure based on a calculated altitude, and comparing the pressure measurement obtained from the pressure sensor with the estimated pressure.
