  • Patent number: 9308549
Abstract: The articles of manufacture make up a paint brush and roller system. The system is comprised of two different handles that takes different brushes and rollers. One handle is a straight handle similar to paintbrush handles on the market except it is fatter. The second handle is a handle in which the paint brush bristles are perpendicular to the individuals grip. The individual can paint without moving one's wrist. The system comes with a set of interchangeable brushes and rollers. The handles have at their top a dovetail groove. The brush heads have at their bottom a dovetail. The brush heads' dovetail fits within the handle's dovetail groove and is held in place by friction. The roller has a dove tail that fits within the handles' dovetail groove.

  • Publication number: 20140180836
Abstract: Techniques are provided, relating to online advertising, in which a special link, which may be a short link, associated with an advertiser, may be provided to a user on a first Web page, such as on a social networking related Web site. The special link may be part of an advertisement or communication from the advertiser. If the user clicks on or otherwise activates the special link, a branded version of a second Web page, including particular content, may be presented to the user, which includes a particular advertisement of the advertiser. Users who arrive at the second Web page via links other than special links will be presented with a non-branded version of the Web page, which does not include the particular advertisement of the advertiser. The particular content may be pre-selected by the advertiser, such as part of a content set associated with an advertising campaign.

  • Patent number: 8595883
Abstract: The invention is a paint brush with the handle perpendicular to the brushes bristles. The brush is made up of a handle section, a brush head holder section and a brush head section. The brush head section and the bush head holder section is attached to the handle such that the handle is perpendicular to the bristles of the brush head section. The brush head section is releasably attached to the brush head section. This enables several different brush head section of differing sizes to be placed on the same handle.

  • Publication number: 20070223668
Abstract: Inserting audio content into one or more communications channels includes associating audio content with one or more corresponding triggers. A communications channel is established with an initiating device and a host, and a communications channel is established with a recipient device and the host. Voice communications are enabled to be exchanged, through the host, between the initiating device and the recipient device. A dual tone multi-frequency (DTMF) indicative of a pressed key on the device keypad is received from the initiating device. The audio content associated with the received IDTMF is identified based on the associated audio content with one or more corresponding triggers. The audio content identified as associated with the received DTMF is accessed. The accessed audio content is inserted in the communications channel with the initiating device and the host and the communications channel with the recipient device and the host.

  • Publication number: 20070215325
Abstract: An apparatus for cooling at least two heated surfaces includes a base plate defining multiple upper and lower supply manifolds and upper and lower exhaust manifolds. The upper and lower supply (exhaust) manifolds receive (exhaust) coolant, and the upper (lower) supply and exhaust manifolds are interleaved. The apparatus further includes an upper substrate having an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface is coupled to the base plate and defines multiple microchannels for receiving and exhausting coolant. The outer surface is in thermal contact with one of the heated surfaces. The apparatus further includes a lower substrate having an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface is coupled to the base plate and defines multiple microchannels for receiving and delivering coolant. The outer surface is in thermal contact with another of the heated surfaces. The apparatus further includes a supply plenum and an exhaust plenum oriented in a plane of the base plate.

  • Publication number: 20060127633
Abstract: A reinforced wood product and methods for reinforcing a wood product are provided. In a first method of manufacture, one or more cords are placed between a first wood layer and a second wood layer in a continuous length. The cords may be constructed from metal, plastic, rubber, or the like. The wood layers and the cords are compressed to form a floor panel or a wall panel. In a second method of manufacture, one or more cords are applied to separate wood sections of a first wood layer. Separate wood sections of a second wood layer are aligned with the wood sections of the first layer to form lap joints in a staggered formation. The first wood sections, cords and second wood sections are then compressed to form a wood product, such as a wall panel or floor panel.

  • Patent number: 6736137
Abstract: The present invention is a protective hooded respirator optimized for both high protection against nuclear, chemical and/or biological agents as well as having a design configuration enabling it to be stored as a highly compact unit. The hood includes a flexible oral-nasal breathing interface interior to the hood. A filter-housing exterior to the hood is fluidly coupled by a single conduit that intakes filtered air during inhalation and exhaled air during exhalation. When in storage, the flexible oral-nasal is folded into a substantially flat configuration.

  • Patent number: 6355146
Abstract: A process and apparatus for coating small particles and fibers. The process involves agitation by vibrating or tumbling the particles or fibers to promote coating uniformly, removing adsorbed gases and static charges from the particles or fibers by an initial plasma cleaning, and coating the particles or fibers with one or more coatings, a first coating being an adhesion coating, and with subsequent coatings being deposited in-situ to prevent contamination at layer interfaces. The first coating is of an adhesion forming element (i.e. W, Zr, Re, Cr, Ti) of a 100-10,000 Å thickness and the second coating or final coating of a multiple (0.1-10 microns) being Cu or Ag, for example for brazing processes, or other desired materials that defines the new surface related properties of the particles. An essential feature of the coating process is the capability to deposit in-situ without interruption to prevent the formation of a contaminated interface that could adversely affect the coating adhesion.

  • Patent number: 6264882
Abstract: A process for fabricating a composite material such as that having high thermal conductivity and having specific application as a heat sink or heat spreader for high density integrated circuits. The composite material produced by this process has a thermal conductivity between that of diamond and copper, and basically consists of coated diamond particles dispersed in a high conductivity metal, such as copper. The composite material can be fabricated in small or relatively large sizes using inexpensive materials. The process basically consists, for example, of sputter coating diamond powder with several elements, including a carbide forming element and a brazeable material, compacting them into a porous body, and infiltrating the porous body with a suitable braze material, such as copper-silver alloy, thereby producing a dense diamond-copper composite material with a thermal conductivity comparable to synthetic diamond films at a fraction of the cost.

  • Patent number: 5911595
Abstract: The electrical connector of this invention is for terminating the wires of a cable into an electrical insert positioned within a connector backshell at an angle to the direction of the cable. A wireing space at the rear of the backshell is provided to terminate the wires within the insert. The connector is used to provide a connector interface for a cable running along one surface of a bulkhead and turning at an angle through the bulkhead to a receptacle or connector face extending from the other face of the bulkhead. The connector face receives an associated electrical interface device. The electrical connector of this invention provides the connector in a minimum amount of clearance space on both sides of the bulkhead. Grounding and shielding of a shielded portion of the cable to the connector is also provided within the minimum clearance space. A tie cord attaches the wires of the cable to a neck of the hollow shaft of the connector backshell to provide stress relief for the wires.
