  • Patent number: 9970915
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for rapidly determining the partial pressure of CO2 (pCO2) in a body of water. The systems and methods are particularly useful for measuring p CO2 in coastal waters and other bodies of water where pCO2 can change rapidly and vary widely at sites that are in close proximity to each other. Additionally, pCO2 measurements can be important for industrial CO2 sequestration monitoring, monitoring pCO2 in wastewater and drinking water treatment plants, as well as monitoring and controlling pH in municipal and private swimming pools.

  • Publication number: 20070175983
Abstract: An information card device may include a storage device configured to store information as a plurality of sets of information, an input device configured to select one of the plurality of sets of information, and an output device configured to output information of the selected set of information. A method of using an information card device may include: storing information as a plurality of sets of information in a storage device of the information card device; selecting one of the plurality of sets of information; and outputting information of the selected set of information. A system for an information card device may include an information card device including a storage device configured to store information as a plurality of sets of information, and a card device interface configured to interface with the information card device to store information in the storage device.

  • Publication number: 20060224526
Abstract: A method and apparatus for sorting, prioritizing, identifying, managing, and otherwise controlling (collectively, “controlling”) a communication. A frank may be used to associate a value and a class with a communication. The communication may be associated with the frank through the method of selecting a frank associated with a value from among a plurality of frank types, each of the frank types having a pre-assigned value, associating the frank with the communication, and initiating transmission of the franked communication across a network. Value may include anything important of having meaning to the parties, including, for example, money, credit (or a promise to pay), frequent flier miles, and so forth. “Franking” a communication generally associates some indicia of value and/or a service class with a communication.

  • Publication number: 20020044635
Abstract: The least call routing system assists the public in call routing by analyzing the available call routing options in relation to user specific criteria so as to identify an appropriate carrier. In one embodiment, a number of users (101-106) and a number of carriers (110, 112 and 114) are interconnected to a call routing selection site (106) via the internet (108). The selection site (116) includes a processor (118), a service information database (120) and a user information database (122). The service information database (120) includes a calling plan or other call rating information for each of the carriers (110, 112 and 114). The user information database (122) includes information specific to particular users that may be relevant to selecting a preferred routing option or carrier.
