Publication number: 20230109040Abstract: A motor for an electrical submersible pump includes a stator and rotor, where the rotor is made up of adjacent columns of magnets affixed onto an annular core. End rings on opposite ends of the core provide axial backstops for magnet columns. Thin coaxial sleeves are shrunk fit over the magnets and end rings and that radially compress the magnets. Apertures in a column are formed radially through the core and receive fasteners for securing a guide bar to the core. The guide bar simulates an installed column of magnets to guide placement of adjacent columns of magnets as the guide bar width is substantially the same as a column of magnets, and aperture locations are strategically positioned so that when the guide bar is secured onto the core. After the guide bar is removed the one of the columns of magnets is then adhered to the core.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2022Publication date: April 6, 2023Applicant: Baker Hughes Oilfield Operations LLCInventors: Ameen Muhammed, James Christopher Clingman, John Knapp

Publication number: 20220207450Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, non-transitory computer-readable media, and methods for receiving and integrating vehicle data for a fleet of different types of rental vehicles from across different databases to generate vehicle-data summaries for such rental vehicles—as well as for surfacing tools for dispatch, service, and other vehicle managing functions. In some cases, the disclosed systems further identifies and integrates service data from vehicle service centers associated with the rental vehicles into a central database and into the vehicle-data summaries. Such a fleet of rental vehicles can include personal-rental vehicles, provider-rental vehicles—such as express-provider-rental vehicles and flexible-provider-rental vehicles—as well as third-party-rental vehicles.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 30, 2020Publication date: June 30, 2022Inventors: Youssef Francis, Christopher Patrick Cunningham, Mark Leslie Snyder, Evan Scott Madow, Stephen Joseph Calvillo, Derek John Knapp, Gordon Dee Tindall, Keith Amir Abdulla, Victor Steven Gallet, Refael Zikavashvili

Publication number: 20210302174Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, non-transitory computer-readable media, and methods for determining different routes along which provider vehicles and rental vehicles can transport a requestor to a destination. For instance, in some cases, a multi-modal-transportation system receives a transportation request that includes a pickup location and a destination location. The multi-modal-transportation system analyzes the transportation request to generate (i) a provider transportation route by which a provider vehicle transports the requestor to the destination location and (ii) a rental route by which one or more intermediate vehicles and a rental vehicle transport the requestor along rental-route segments to the destination location. The multi-modal-transportation system further transmits data for both routes to a requestor device to display within a multi-modal graphical user interface.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2020Publication date: September 30, 2021Inventors: Keith Amir Abdulla, Jimmy Pulimoottil Alexander, Balaji Chandrasekhar, Victor Steven Gallet, Derek John Knapp, Mayank Manesh Makwana, Mallory Jackson Paine, Gordon Dee Tindall, Raghul Siddarthan Velusamy

Patent number: 10502004Abstract: An electrical submersible well pump motor has metal-to-metal sealing for the power cable electrical connection. A conductor passage in the motor head has a conical seat. A motor contact member electrically connected with the motor is located in the conductor passage below the seat. A metal tube has a lower portion that inserts into an upper portion of the conductor passage. A metal sealing ferrule encircles the tube, and a compression nut deforms the ferrule into sealing engagement with the seat and the tube. An electrical conductor extending from the power cable protrudes downward from the tube and has a conductor contact member on a lower end. The motor contact member and the conductor contact member stab into partial engagement with each other, defining a gap between terminal surfaces of the contact members that can close up during operation due to thermal growth.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2017Date of Patent: December 10, 2019Assignee: Baker Hughes, a GE Company, LLCInventors: John Knapp, Mark L. Publication number: 20140127348Abstract: The inventors have researched a problem associated with known molding systems that inadvertently manufacture bad-quality molded articles or parts. After much study, the inventors believe they have arrived at an understanding of the problem and its solution, which are stated below, and the inventors believe this understanding is not known to the public. During operation, the gate orifice and nozzle tip position are fixed. The inventors believe that there appears to be no known mechanism that allows optimization of the tip to gate relationship. Known methods of adjusting position of a nozzle tip, such as shimming between a cavity plate and a manifold plate, or replacing nozzle stack components, may be time consuming and difficult. The known hot runner assembly often must be removed from the molding machine to make the desired adjustments.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 12, 2012Publication date: May 8, 2014Applicant: HUSKY INJECTION MOLDING SYSTEMS LTD.Inventors: Martin Baumann, John Knapp, Sarah Kathleen Overfield
