    Abstract: Methods and systems for combination hybrid chiller and air handler for use with data centers. A method to control capacity of two chillers in part load conditions includes forming a cascade system by connecting a first chiller and a second chiller in series. The first chiller includes a first compressor and the second chiller includes a second compressor. The method further includes modulating a capacity of the first chiller, a capacity of the second chiller, or both to control a required supply fluid temperature. In another embodiment, a method to increase a supply cooling fluid temperature of a cascade chiller system close coupled to air handlers includes monitoring positions of control valves on coils of air handlers close coupled connected to the cascade chiller system and increasing a supply cooling fluid temperature of the cascade chiller system as a function of an opening of at least one of the control valves.

The system also includes a fluid cooler configured to receive the heated fluid from the one or more MHACUs, cool the heated fluid into cooled fluid, and output the cooled fluid. The system also includes a fluid supply line configured to convey the cooled fluid to the one or more MHACUs in order to cool heated air inside the data hall. The system also includes a pump package configured to control a flow of the heated fluid and the cooled fluid. The fluid cooler, the one or more MHACUs, and the pump package form a single fluid loop.

The power distribution center is configured to receive cooling air from outside the power distribution center and convey the cooling air to the one or more UPS modules and battery racks. The one or more UPS modules and battery racks are configured to transfer thermal energy to the cooling air, thereby creating heated exhaust air. The at least one exhaust air duct is configured to receive and convey the heated exhaust air to the at least one first opening to expel the heated exhaust air to an exterior space.

    Abstract: A system includes multiple buildings including a first building and a second building disposed in close proximity to each other. Each of the buildings has a first end configured to receive ambient supply air from an exterior environment and a second end configured to output exhaust air to the exterior environment. Each of the buildings contains multiple computing devices. The computing devices in each building are configured to generate thermal energy that is transmitted to the supply air, thereby heating the supply air into the exhaust air before the exhaust air exits that building. The first end of the first building is a closest end to the second building and the first end of the second building is a closest end to the first building. The first end of the first building and the first end of the second building form portions of a supply air corridor between the first building and the second building.
