Abstract: A rack for hanging room sized carpets in show rooms. The rack has a plurality of uprights, each of which has a horizontal arm supporting a hanging carpet. The arm is adapted to be raised and lowered by a flexible drive member such as a cable or belt entrained on a motor-driven pulley and moved by a gear drive type motor. The flexible drive member or belt and motor-driven pulley are mounted on the rack.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a floor covering storage and dispensing rack including a frame equipped with extendable members having castors. Floor lock anchors are also provided on the frame. Upper frame members of the rack support rollers in spaced relation and a crank or motor is provided to rotate the rollers to wind floor covering onto the rollers for storage. An elongated cleaning head consisting of a pair of brushes is provided on a frame member. Floor covering passes over at least one brush when the floor covering is retrieved or dispensed to remove dirt prior to storage or reuse.

Abstract: A carpet storage and diplay rack including pairs of U shaped bracket supporting the ends or tubular rollers on which carpet is wound. The bracket are secured to a vertical or horizontal frame and have ball bearings to reduce friction between the bracket nd the roller. A latch hingedly attached to each braoket is designed to engage one or more pins extending through the tubular roller so as to prevent rotation of the roller when desired. The plus may also be engaged by a crank having a sloted end which is inserted in the end of the roller. The roller may then be rotated by means of the crank to wind carpettng on the roller.
