Abstract: A method and apparatus for adaptive data repartitioning and adaptive data replication is provided. A data set stored in a distributed data processing system is partitioned by a first partitioning key. A live workload comprising a plurality of data processing commands is processed. While processing the live workload, statistical properties of the live workload are maintained. Based on the statistical properties of the live workload with respect to the data set, it is determined to replicate and/or repartition the data set by a second partitioning key. The replicated and/or repartitioned data set is partitioned by the second partitioning key.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are integrated training and sales methods and systems for training sales representatives in making an online sales call to customers and for conducting the online sales call. The system includes a Web co-browsing tool, a voice channel between the customer and the sales representatives and a training and sales Web site that is simultaneously accessible, viewable and controllable by both the customer and the sales representative through the Web co-browsing tool. The training and sales Web site is structured so as to guide the sales representative and the customer through each step of the online sales call. The system may further include scripted talking points visible only to the sales representative, the scripted talking points prompting the sales representative to communicate information to the customer as the sales representative and the customer navigate through the training and sales Web site.

Abstract: A method of and system for evaluating contacts stored in data source. In one embodiment the method allows a user to define a data format; allows a user to define a plurality of rules intended to operate on and assess a quality of data formatted according to the data format; map data identifying a plurality of contacts from the data source to the data format; and execute the plurality of rules on the mapped data to produce a set of analyzed data that allows evaluation of potential contacts according to an assessed quality of the data.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for products such as selling software over a computer network. The method may include steps of posting sales materials to an online collaboration tool, the online collaboration tool enabling both a sales representative and a potential customer to view the posted sales materials simultaneously. The sales materials may include a presentation, a press release, an analyst review and/or a customer reference. The potential customer's Web site may then be accessed and graphics, text and/or configuration information may be retrieved therefrom. An appearance of a generic Web site template may then be customized with the retrieved graphic, text and/or configuration information to create a customized Web site. The customized Web site may then be posted to the online collaboration tool and the customized Web site displayed for the potential customer.
