  • Publication number: 20230231761
Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and software to identify causes of connectivity issues in a computing environment. In one example, a computing system monitors network characteristics associated with the computing system and identifies an error notification from a service on the computing system that indicates a connectivity issue with one or more other computing systems. In response to the error notification, the computing system identifies additional network characteristics associated with connections to the one or more other computing system and determines one or more probable causes of the connectivity issue based on the network characteristics and additional network characteristics. The computing system can then generate a summary using the one or more probable causes.

  • Patent number: 9425574
Abstract: A sealed connector assembly connects a first cable to a second cable and includes female and male terminal assembly components each having molded in place a weather resistant sleeve that both covers the respective terminal assembly components, and defines openings or gaps which enable female and male contacts to be electrically connected and the sleeves to mechanically contact, thereby providing weather and element resistance. In a method for insulating the respective female and male terminals in a mold assembly, an O-ring applied to the terminal components to prevent liquid mold material from flowing over the electrical contacts.

  • Publication number: 20160077886
Abstract: A method for generating workload windows includes incrementing access counters for each block of a storage system during execution of a workload accessing the storage system. The method also includes determining an average input-output (IO) rate of the storage system based on the access counters. The method further includes determining whether to generate a new workload window based on the average IO rate, an expiring timer, and a predetermined range from an X value to a Y value. The X value is equal to a low threshold of the average IO rate, and the Y value is equal to a high threshold of the average IO rate. The method also includes generating the new workload window based on the determination.

  • Patent number: 9137680
Abstract: A method and apparatus for locationing using differential phase measurements of IEEE 802.11 preambles. A first step includes providing a local clock at the same frequency as the IEEE 802.11 preambles. This step includes synchronizing the local clocks at multiple receivers with a reference clock, for example, using Synchronous Ethernet. A next step includes receiving IEEE 802.11 packets from a transmitter by at least three fixed receivers. A next step includes determining a phase offset between the local clock and any nearest cycle of a preamble in the received packets in each of the receivers. A next step includes locating the transmitter using each of the phase offsets.

  • Patent number: 8990524
Abstract: A plurality of subgroups with a least recently used (LRU) list of data elements associated with count variables. The LRU lists have a top entry to store a most recently used data element and a bottom entry to store a least recently used data element. If a data element is accessed, then increase the value of the count variable and move the accessed data element to the top entry of the LRU list of the subgroup associated with the data element. If the value of the count variable of the accessed data element of the top entry is greater than a value of a count variable of a data element of a bottom entry of a LRU list of a subgroup with a higher priority, then swap the data element of the bottom entry with the accessed data element of the top entry.
