  • Publication number: 20080230761
Abstract: A fence post comprising a first post member including at least one through rail opening formed therethrough. There is also at least one through wire opening formed through the post member with an insulating member positioned therein. Additionally, at least one cavity is formed in the first post member for receiving a preserving composition therein. A driving member is fixed to a bottom surface of the first post member that includes at least one projection having a predetermined contour projecting from a bottom surface thereof for breaking obstacles as the first post member is driven through a ground surface.

  • Publication number: 20040144967
Abstract: A modular fence system (10) is provided. The modular fence system 10 generally includes a plurality of spaced post assemblies (100) for securement to a support surface, and at least one cross member (200) coupled to respective support portions of at least a pair of such post assemblies (100) to extend transversely therebetween. Each post assembly (100) includes first and second molded post members (110, 120) joined one to the other in opposed manner to define therebetween at least one transverse eyelet (105a, 105b, 105c). Each of the first and second post members (110, 120) is formed with a base section (114, 124) and a support section (112, 122) extending longitudinally therefrom. The support section (112) of the first post member (110) includes at least one slotted recess (115a, 115b, 115c) for defining against the second post member support section (122) at least a portion of one transverse eyelet (105a, 105b, 105c).

  • Patent number: 6129877
Abstract: A method and system is provided for fabricating an elastomeric article, and comprises the steps of: providing a predetermined quantity of a comminuted rubber composition; heating the comminuted rubber composition to a predetermined processing temperature which effects at least a partial devulcanization thereof; forming a homogeneous dispersion by combining with that rubber composition a predetermined quantity of an additive composition; mixing with the homogeneous dispersion a predetermined quantity of a plastic composition and heating the resulting mixture to a predetermined extruding temperature to form a viscous compound composition; and, mechanically processing the viscous compound composition to form the elastomeric article.

  • Patent number: 5494510
Abstract: This invention provides for a method of producing an asphalt product which includes initially shredding scrap tires within a shredder system (14) where at least partially vulcanized rubber composition is formed into particulates less than approximately 2.0 mm in dimension. Metal is removed from the scrap tires and the resulting composition leaving the shredder system (14) is mixed in particular weight percentages with a chemical composition for insertion into a masticator system (28) which includes a first zone (42), a second zone (44), and a third zone (46). The masticator system (28) heats the composition entering to a temperature approximating 485.degree. F. in the first zone (42). The composition is then cooled to a temperature within the approximating range of 230.degree. F.-250.degree. F. in second zone (44) and then slightly re-heated to a temperature within the range of 290.degree. F.-350.degree. F. in the third zone (46).

  • Patent number: 5114648
Abstract: A process for producing thermoplastic resin products where granulated or particulate vulcanized rubber is sprayed by a heated heavy paraffin distillate composition to form a first intermediate mixture composition. The first intermediate mixture composition is passed through a heating chamber on a conveyor and combined with particulate thermoplastic scrap material in an approximating weight percentage of 30% thermoplastic material to 70% first intermediate mixture material. The combination forms a second intermediate mixture composition which is masticated in a masticator and extruded through a single screw feed mechanism for pelletizing and producing thermoplastic resin products which are useful for molding.

  • Patent number: 4061013
Abstract: An improved method of forming forged socket wrenches in a manner vitiating the need of further machining operation. Steel having a predetermined composition is received in coil form and treated with a lubricating coating. The coiled steel is then straightened and an initial billet of steel is cut to an appropriate size. The billet is then squared to establish opposing longitudinal surfaces in parallel relation with respect to each other and further to provide a working metal billet with a predetermined volume. The metal billet is then positionally located adjacent to a female die in order to provide a bearing surface to form a taper on at least a portion of the external surface of the metal billet.
