  • Publication number: 20180080229
Abstract: An irrigation system is provided and includes a fluid receiver having an inlet operable to be attached to a distal end of a downspout, an outlet spaced apart from the inlet, and a passageway extending between and in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet. The passageway defines a first cross-sectional area disposed between the inlet and the outlet and a second cross-sectional area disposed between the first cross-sectional area and the outlet, whereby the second cross-section area is smaller than the first cross-sectional area. A fluid dispenser is fluidly coupled to the outlet and includes a fluid-receiving cavity and a plurality of fluid outlet passages. The plurality of fluid outlet passages are in fluid communication with the fluid-receiving cavity and are operable to dispense fluid from the fluid-receiving cavity.

  • Patent number: 7162722
Abstract: One embodiment of the invention provides a method for integrating a plurality of computer applications. The method includes receiving from a requestor a request of a target application. The request includes data identifying a target application and a target application service requested by the requestor. An abstraction layer receives the request. The method further includes using a Profile Manager in communication with the abstraction layer to receive data identifying the target application, to select a sack (a portable container for the request, e.g., a serialized object) and to select which of a plurality of sack content providers (SCPs) to use to interface with an appropriate element given the target application. The plurality of SCPs are in communication with the abstraction layer. The plurality of SCPs interface with a plurality of elements including at least a first application and at least a first hub.

  • Publication number: 20060231895
Abstract: A semiconductor circuit for protecting an I/O pad against ESD events comprising a pMOS transistor (510) in a first n-well (511) having its source connected to Vdd and the first n-well, and its drain connected to the I/O pad; the transistor has a finger-shaped contact (513) to the first n-well, which touches source junction 512c. Source 512 has further an ohmic (silicided) connection to contact 513. A finger-shaped diode (520) with its cathode (521) is located in a second n-well and connected to the I/O pad, and its anode connected to ground. The anode is positioned between the cathode and the first n-well, whereby the finger-shaped anode and cathode are oriented approximately perpendicular to the finger-shaped transistor n-well contact. Further a third finger-shaped n-well (551) positioned between the first n-well and the diode, the third n-well connected to power (Vdd) and approximately perpendicular to the first n-well contact, acting as a guard wall (550).

  • Publication number: 20050104613
Abstract: An equipment (400) for testing semiconductor device performance under high energy pulse conditions, which comprises a high voltage generator (401) and an on/off switch relay (403). The relay is resistively connected by a first resistor (402) to the generator and by a second resistor (404) to the socket (405a) for the device-under-test (406); the relay is operable in a partially ionized ambient. A capacitor (407) is connected to the relay, to the generator, and to the device, and is operable to discharge high energy pulses through the device. A third resistor (410) is in parallel with the capacitor and the device, and is operable to suppress spurious pulses generated by the relay. This third resistor has a value between about 1 k? and 1 M?, preferably about 10 k?, several orders of magnitude greater than the on-resistance of the device-under-test.

  • Publication number: 20050091791
Abstract: A counterbalance system for a tilt-in window having novel components. The counterbalance system includes brake shoes, curl springs and spring anchor mounts. The brake shoe assembly of the counterbalance system has a unique, low cost locking mechanism that uses a looped wire. The brake shoe assembly may also be configured with external rib projections that reduce the friction of the brake shoe assemblies as they move through the tracks of the window. The spring anchor mount is formed with a recess in its body that enables the tilt latch of a window sash to pass the spring anchor mount within the track of the window frame. As a result, the spring anchor mounts can be placed within the window frame at points previously not available.

  • Publication number: 20050065951
Abstract: In a highly integrated computing environment having a collection of linked software and hardware that allows one or more users to readily structure, display and manipulate various information used to design and implement a large project, two classes of new software tools, viewers and controllers, are disclosed herein to support the construction industry and to enhance the simultaneous visualization of complex information sets on two or more interactive electronic displays. Information Viewers display table, tree, and document views of information representing different viewpoints and approaches of the same project. The Synchronizing Controller links the various, distributed applications to a common date, time, event, and the likes. The Information Viewers are also controllers that extract related data from different applications. The Universal Controller manages and organizes data and applications in the integrated computing environment.
