The wooden crossarm member defines upper, lower, inner, and outer surfaces and first and second end surfaces, a main bore, a plurality of pin bores, and at least one brace bore. Each nail end plate comprises a plate member defining an inner surface and an outer surface and a plurality of nail projections extending from the inner surface of the plate member. Each nail projection defines a width dimension. In use, the first and second nail end plates are displaced towards the first and second end surfaces, respectively, such that the nail projections enter the wooden crossarm member. Patent number: 6112453Abstract: A device for the control of mosquito larvae includes a float with a self-contained power source associated with the float. There is a light source which extends downwardly from the float and is connected to the power source for activation thereof. A walled enclosure depends from the float, which walled enclosure will be filled with water when the float is placed upon the surface of a body of water. The light source is positioned within the enclosure and is directionalized toward the exterior thereof generally parallel to the water surface. There are openings in the enclosure beneath the water surface and in alignment with the light source for the passage of mosquito larvae into the enclosure when attracted by light from the source. Preferably, the bracket is positioned adjacent the vehicle operator's driving position. The bracket extends outside of the vehicle and has an opening therein. A funnel and a tube are positioned at a location to be accessible to the driver with the tube extending through the bracket opening. The relative sizes of the tube and the opening permit movement of the tube therein so that the vehicle operator may direct the tube to a desired location for application of an insecticide-carrying pellet or briquet. Patent number: 4876091Abstract: A machine distributable gypsum-based pesticide pellet in which the gypsum is a solid formed by the bonding of plaster of paris and water which includes, prior to formation of the solid, by weight, no more than the minimum water required for substantial hydration of the plaster of paris. The pellet includes approximately five percent of a pesticide with the balance being plaster of paris. The pesticide, water and plaster of paris are generally uniformly mixed to provide a pellet which has a generally uniform release of the pesticide over its life. The pellet after setting has essentially no free water in that substantially all water is absorbed in the chemical reaction between the plaster of paris and water. A fan is mounted on the cover, and the weight of the fan is supported by the cover and the columns. The panels do not have to support the weight of the cover and the fan, and the panels can be formed of relatively thin, lightweight material. The cup has a generally frusto-conic outer wall terminating in a laterally extending annular lip. There is a bottom integral with the frusto-conic outer wall. The annular lip and the adjacent areas of the upper portion of the wall form generally diammetrically opposed pouring grooves, which grooves extend below the level of the lip, with the lip being continuous in size and shape throughout the grooves.
