  • Patent number: 6429208
Abstract: The effect of HIV components on lymphocytes, as exemplified by peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) in retarding their proliferation can be reversed by inhibiting the PKA/cAMP pathway. By using protocols which inhibit this pathway, the ability of lymphocytes to proliferate can be restored. The restoration of this pathway is useful in reversing the effects of HIV infection.
