  • Publication number: 20180010415
Abstract: A packer cup for use on downhole wellbore tools is provided herein. The packer cup has a composite annular body made from elastomer and/or polymer materials capable of accomplishing effective sealing at normal to high operating temperatures and at all pressure ranges in order to provide superior resistance to aggressive fluids, such as sour crude oil or gas, lubricating oil additives and amine corrosion inhibitors. The packer cup has a radial array of concave reinforcing wires that are retained by a metal cylindrical sleeve. In addition, the packer cup may include a support cup that is received about a lower tapered end in order to provide additional structural support to the cup.

  • Patent number: 9657554
Abstract: A downhole filtration tool to remove sand and other solid particles from production fluid in a subterranean well. The downhole filtration tool includes a perforated mandrel surrounded by at least one filter element made of an open weave polymeric fiberglass material. In addition, the downhole filtration tool may include an additional screen or mesh installed in a separating annulus intermediate of the mandrel and the filter element to provide a filter having improved permeability and resistance to chemical and physical forces.

  • Publication number: 20170074083
Abstract: A static gas separator interposed between an electric submersible pump and a downhole motor to separate entrained gas from production fluid in a subterranean well. The gas separator includes an elongate cylindrical mandrel concentrically surrounded an outer static filter sleeve. A base member is attached at a lower end of the gas separator and includes a flange for connection with a mating flange on the pump. The upper end of the gas separator includes a head member attached thereto and includes a flange for connection with a mating flange on the motor. The gas separator includes a plurality of radially aligned, axial flow intakes in fluid communication with a hollow interior of the head member and a separating annulus formed between the outer static filter sleeve and the mandrel. The gas separator may also include radially protruding helical fins or vanes that impart a centrifugal force or vortex to the production well fluid flowing through the annulus.

  • Patent number: 4000803
Abstract: A printer-plotter system includes a vacuum-buffered bidirectional paper drive system for moving paper uniformly forward and backward over a sprocketed platen and sprocketed drum. The platen comprises a stationary portion with a flat region and a rotatable sprocketed portion. The platen and drum are connected by a drive belt for synchronous rotation of the drum with the sprocketed portion of the platen to assure proper contact of a print head with the flat region of the stationary portion and proper movement of paper by the sprocketed portion after printing.
