  • Patent number: 5551227
Abstract: A method of detecting partial flame out in a gas turbine engine combustor is provided which involves the steps of establishing a model for performance of the engine during a particular operating mode of the combustor, wherein the model assumes that all fuel supplied during the combustor operating mode is burned, calculating a value for an engine parameter in the model representative of engine performance, obtaining a sensed value for the engine parameter during operation of the engine at the combustor operating mode, and comparing the calculated value of the engine parameter and the sensed value of the engine parameter, wherein partial flame out of the combustor is detected when the sensed value of the engine parameter differs from the calculated value of the engine parameter by a predetermined amount.

  • Patent number: 5295743
Abstract: There is described a rectangular shaped security cabinet having a door opening which is closed by a tambour door. The door is made from a plurality of interlocking slats capable of limited flexure relative to one another, the slats having interlocking hooked tongues on the upper faces which lockingly engage with slots on the lower faces. A protection barrier extends from the top face behind the hooked tongue and inhibits access to the joint formed by the hooked tongue and the receiving slots. Additionally the door is provided with a lock operated by a combination lock which lock includes a sliding bar at the back of the door which engages with upstanding projections on the door bottom sill. A cam like latch, biased to the open position is operable by the combination lock to engage in a catch on the sliding bar to lock the bar and thus the door, in the locked position.

  • Patent number: 5168431
Abstract: The present invention provides for a shelf and bracket assembly which may be used in various applications including in a cabinet for the storage of circuit boards. The shelf and bracket assembly comprises vertical brackets with slots, horizontal brackets with tabs, slidable brackets with inclining surfaces, a shelf with declining surfaces, and adjustment feature, whereby a first general height adjustment of the shelf may be followed by a fine-tuning height adjustment. The invention also provides for a circuit board guide strip which is reusable and which may be inserted into holes in the shelf surface in a lockable relationship.
