  • Patent number: 6485764
Abstract: There are disclosed hydrating beverages for animals comprising water, glycerol, sodium, and potassium, with the potassium being present in an amount sufficient to provide in the blood plasma, when said beverage is ingested at rest, during exercise, and after exercise/dehydration, a potassium level of between about 5 to 8 meq/l and excretion of potassium in the urine. Also disclosed is the method of rehydrating animals by administering said beverage after dehydration.

  • Patent number: 5491844
Abstract: A bib panel for covering the chest and part of the neck of a dental patent is made of bonded composite liquid impervious and treated liquid absorbent material, is generally rectangular in form and has a circular cut-out for the patient's neck. A strip of adhesive extends across the top edge of the back of the panel. The adhesive is a pressure sensitive adhesive and has the property that it can be attached to the front of another bib panel and then removed without contaminating the adhesive. A plurality of bib panels are stacked and attached together to form a pad of panels for dispensing the panels by peeling the top panel from the one below it. The plurality of panels are attached to a support back or, placed in a disposing tray, the bottom panel adhering to the support back or the bottom of the dispensing tray.

  • Patent number: 4703573
Abstract: An activated work comprising at least two turnable pages pivotably attached to one edge of each of the pages so that the pages are pivotable from a juxtaposed closed position to an adjacent opened position, a visual image display affixed to one of the pages, the visual image display having a first visual activation state at which a visual image is not visible thereon and a second visual activation state at which a visual image is visible thereon, a sound generator attached to the work having a first activation state at which an audible sound is not generated and a second activation state at which an audible sound is generated, connected to the visual display for selectively activating the visual display from one of the visual activation states to another upon pivoting the pages from the open position to the closed position, and connected to the sound generator for selectively activating the sound generator from one of the sound activation states to another upon pivoting the pages from the closed position to t

  • Patent number: 4656469
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel and unique activated work such as a child's book or a greeting card having at least two turnable pages in juxtaposed relationship and which is formed having a portion thereof that is essentially invisible in a first state but visible in a second state. Electrical signals are coupled to the second portion for selectively and reversibly changing the second portion from the invisible to the visible state when the pages are moved from their juxtaposed relationship.
