  • Publication number: 20240150811
Abstract: Microfluidic methods for barcoding nucleic acid target molecules to be analyzed, e.g., via nucleic acid sequencing techniques, are provided. Also provided are microfluidic, droplet-based methods of preparing nucleic acid barcodes for use in various barcoding applications. The methods described herein facilitate high-throughput sequencing of nucleic acid target molecules as well as single cell and single virus genomic, transcriptomic, and/or proteomic analysis/profiling. Systems and devices for practicing the subject methods are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10979689
Abstract: A method and apparatus for encoding three-dimensional (ā€œ3Dā€) video includes receiving a left-eye interlaced frame and a corresponding right-eye interlaced frame of a 3D video. An amount of interlacing exhibited by at least one of the left-eye interlaced frame and the corresponding right-eye interlaced frame is determined. A frame packing format to be used for packing the left-eye interlaced frame and the corresponding right-eye interlaced frame into a 3D frame is selected based on the amount of interlacing that is determined. The left-eye interlaced frame and the corresponding right-eye interlaced frame are formatted into a 3D frame using the selected frame packing format. Illustrative frame packing formats that may be employed include a side-by-side format and a top-and-bottom format.

  • Patent number: 9462270
Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods can operate to generate frame aligned digital video streams encoded at different bitrates from a common digital video stream. To provide uninterrupted playback of video content when a device switches from one stream encoded at one bit rate to the same digital video stream encoded at another bitrate, the video frames of the digital video streams can be aligned. To provide for proper frame alignment between fragments representing the same frame of a digital video stream encoded at different bitrates, video encoding device(s) can mark decoded digital pictures for subsequent encoding at different bit rates when the division of a program reference clock value by the fragment period approaches an integer value.
