    Abstract: An apparatus and method to accept signals from an electrical stringed musical instrument (ESMI) and transform them into corresponding sounds as they would be created by an acoustic stringed musical instrument (ASMI). The apparatus and method comprise an ESMI, a method of capturing the tonal characteristics of an ASMI, a method of recreating the ASMI's tonal characteristics from the ESMI, and a means of emulating directional tone color (DTC) with various amplification systems.
