    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a laser diode array which may be made up of at least two unit cells. Each unit cell may have a stack of laser diodes and a focusing lens. The focusing lens of each unit cell may be used to focus an output beam from its associated unit cell. The unit cells may be arranged so that the focused output beams from the unit cells converge on a common focal region.
