Abstract: A clampless mounting assembly is used with a helmet for attaching an internal headset to one of a plurality of different types of external electronic audio communications devices. External audio communications devices communicate with an internal headset by way of electrical conductors inherent in a mounting post. The mounting post is inserted through a hole in the helmet. The mounting post may optionally include a base and a retainer to secure the headset to the helmet, eliminating the need for clamps or adhesives. Alternatively, the headset may be glued to or threaded through an aperture of the helmet. The electrical conductors may be used in a variety of configurations for connecting the headset to one of a plurality of different types of audio communications devices. An external cable, connected to an external audio communications device, is inserted into an external connector inherent in the mounting post.

Abstract: A multi-accessory vehicle audio system is providing that includes a plurality of vehicle audio accessories, the vehicle audio accessories generating a corresponding plurality of audio signals; and an audio switching device. The audio switching device includes an input section for receiving the audio signals from the vehicle audio accessories, a switching section operatively coupled to the input section for receiving the audio signals, a controller operatively coupled to the input section for receiving the audio signals and operatively coupled to the switching section for providing control signals to control the switching section and to regulate the output of the audio signals from the switching section according to an instruction set, and an output section operatively coupled to the switching section for receiving the regulated audio signals outputted from the switching section.

Abstract: One or more recesses formed in the back of the back rest for the front seat of a tandem seat assembly for mounting a control panel and related chassis therein for passenger control of the communications, entertainment and other systems installed on the vehicle. The control panel may be electrically parallel to the driver's dash board, as well as containing independent systems and controls, thereby providing the capability for the passenger to safely control the intercommunications and entertainment systems of the vehicle.
