The controller is configured to receive the image data from the camera system, and to apply an object recognition process on the received image data to identify an edge line serving as a reference line for a mat to be laid by the road paver, and to determine a three dimensional position of the identified edge line. The controller may automatically control the road paver, and may assist an operator to control the road paver based on the identified position of the edge line.

A speed sensor is mounted on the conveyor belt tensioner block in a position radially outward from teeth of the speed ring gear as the speed ring gear and head pulley shaft rotate within the bore through the belt tensioner block.

The yield measurement system may include a hydraulic motor configured to propel the conveyor, a first sensor configured to generate a first signal indicative of a force acting on the conveyor by material being moved by the conveyor, and a second sensor configured to generate a second signal indicative of a pressure differential across the hydraulic motor. The yield measurement system may also include a controller in communication with the first and second sensors. The controller may be configured to determine when the conveyor is not transferring material based on the second signal, and automatically recalibrate the yield measurement system based on the first signal when the conveyor is not transferring material.
