  • Publication number: 20240117830
Abstract: A fastener system for quick and easy assembly of a slatted article is used to join multiple slats and connects a support thereto. A flange inserted into one of the slats receives a stud connected to the support. A rod connects a plurality the slats, and mates with the flange. The flange and rod are rotatable within the slats to properly position and tighten the fastener system.

  • Patent number: 9038976
Abstract: A surface mounted sports gear display apparatus capable of holding a wide range of equipment types and sizes implementing a transverse sliding tension mechanism that adjusts in width and applies a tension force on opposing grip members and that apply a compressive force on the displayed object which creates frictional contact on the long edges between the displayed object and grip members allowing the object to be held horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Additionally a center double-edged grip member can be added creating an expanded functionality for pairs of objects such as skis. The grip edge shape can be altered to enhance surface contact for objects such as surf boards, baseball bats, tennis rackets, kayak and canoe paddles, and rowing ores.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20020055465
Abstract: Novel nocathiacin derivatives have been prepared by both biotransformation and chemical methods. A novel nocathiacin derivative, nocathiacin IV, was prepared by either incubation of protease from Streptomyces griseus (Sigma, Cat# P5147) with nocathiacin I in DMF or by chemical methods. Fermentation of Actinoplanes sp. ATCC 53771 in the presence of nocathiacin IV produces a new compound nocathiacin IV 6-deoxyglucoside. Both nocathiacin IV and nocathiacin IV 6-deoxyglucoside have broad spectrum antibiotic activity against Gram-positive bacteria and have in vivo efficacy in animals.
