  • Publication number: 20240191710
Abstract: A reciprocating assembly for driving a working portion of a tool includes a body having a bore configured to contain a hydraulic fluid, and a piston received within the bore and configured to move within the bore in a reciprocating motion between an extended position and a retracted position. Displacement of the piston within the bore is configured to cause displacement of hydraulic fluid when hydraulic fluid is in the bore. An outer surface of the piston and/or an inner surface of the bore at least partially coated with a friction reducing material.

  • Publication number: 20240165784
Abstract: A reciprocating assembly includes a bore that contains hydraulic fluid. A piston is received within the bore and can move within the bore in a reciprocating motion between an extended position and a retracted position. Displacement of the piston within the bore causes displacement of hydraulic fluid when hydraulic fluid is in the bore. The piston includes an internal cavity extending at least partially along a length of the piston. The reciprocating assembly also includes a push pin that is received within the internal cavity. The bore, piston, and push pin are arranged so that movement of the push pin related to the bore causes translation of the piston within the bore to the extended position along a translation axis. The push pin can pivot during movement of the push pin between an in-line position and an angled position. The in-line position is substantially parallel to the translation axis.

  • Publication number: 20200254179
Abstract: Systems, components, and methods are disclosed for withdrawing drug from a liquid drug container and transferring drug to a medical device. One or more components may have keying features so that only the correct liquid drug container and medical device are accessed, making sure the medical device is filled with the correct drug. A syringe needle hub may have keying features corresponding to keying features on a cap on the liquid drug container and on the medical device. An alignment device facilitates easy-to-operate filling of a medical device. The alignment device aligns a liquid drug container over a fill port of the medical device and can include components for moving the liquid drug container into engagement with the medical device and for automatically initiating drug transfer to the medical device. A retractable skirt or needle cover protects the needle and is unlocked only when the skirt or needle cover is close to or touching the medical device.

  • Patent number: 10084277
Abstract: A crimp tool having jaw members joined in a tongue-in-groove connection held in place by a locking pin. Each jaw member being tapered and including weight reducing pockets defined in respective sidewalls. Each jaw member includes a locking tab on an outside edge that mates with a respective locking tab opening in the neck of the tool. When the locking pin is removed, the jaws of the tool separate and rotate away from one another until their respective locking tabs engage their respective locking tab opening, thereby holding the opened jaws in the neck of the tool.
