  • Publication number: 20230273136
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of preparing a sample for analysis. The method comprises: providing a sample comprising a surface region of interest on a first face of the sample and a second face oriented at an angle to the first face about a common edge between the first and second faces, the second face extending between the common edge and a second edge on the opposing side of the second face of the sample; and milling the second face of the sample to provide a trench in the surface of the second face, the trench extending from a first position on the second face between the common edge and the second edge to a second position adjacent to the common edge; wherein the trench is arranged so as to provide an electron transparent sample layer comprising the surface region of interest. By milling the second face of the sample only, a surface region of interest on the first face of the sample is fully preserved and remains free of milling beam induced damage.

  • Publication number: 20220005221
Abstract: Embodiments include system and processes for tracking objects using a camera. An optical marker dictionary including one or more optical markers is generated, the optical markers being optically distinct indicators. An optical marker within the optical marker dictionary is associated with and affixed to an object. A processor is in communication with the camera, receiving image data from the camera and applying computer vision to the image data in order to detect the presence of one or more optical markers within the optical marker dictionary within the image data. The processor determines camera position information and applies computer vision to the image data in order to determine relative position information for the detected optical markers and projects a position from the camera to a detected optical marker.

  • Patent number: 11180815
Abstract: This invention relates to prognostic signatures, and compositions and methods for determining the prognosis of cancer in a patient, particularly for colorectal cancer. Specifically, this invention relates to the use of genetic markers for the prediction of the prognosis of cancer, such as colorectal cancer based on signatures of genetic markers. In various aspects, the invention relates to a method of predicting the likelihood of long-term survival of a cancer patient, a method of determining a treatment regime for a cancer patient, a method of preparing a treatment modality for a cancer patient, among other methods as well as kits and devices for carrying out these methods.

  • Patent number: 11164451
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of the present invention are directed to a system for monitoring, recording, and analyzing driver activity. An exemplary system comprises a sensor module configured to receive data from one or more sensors that measure acceleration or deceleration associated with a vehicle. A stop detection module is configured to receive the sensor module data, process the sensor module data, and determine an abrupt acceleration or deceleration event. A location module is configured to retrieve the location of the vehicle simultaneous with an abrupt acceleration or deceleration event. The system stores the location of the abrupt acceleration or deceleration event in an event record in an event database.

  • Patent number: 10521496
Abstract: Network resources are subject to automated downloading of information by automated-agents that cause business- or user-specific data to be compiled en masse. In order to control resources and information available to automated-agents, markup documents or elements of markup documents are obfuscated such that a client must reconfigure the obfuscated information in order to display the requested content contained in the document. The obfuscation is applied such that the content will render and display to a human user in the same manner as if the element was untransformed; however, the markup will appear syntactically different to an automated-agent. Thus, in response to a user request, a server can transform elements of a structured document and provide the transformed document to the client for reconfiguring and rendering.
