  • Patent number: 6394317
Abstract: The present invention provides a container which provides a measured dosage of the contents of the container when pressure is applied to the top of the container. When not in use, the container additionally contains a locking means such that the contents of the container cannot be dispensed without repositioning the locking means to the open position.

  • Patent number: 6330960
Abstract: The present invention provides a flexible container for dispensing liquids capable of providing precise dosage of the liquid. The container comprises an upper liquid reservoir and a lower liquid reservoir separated by a gasket, a longitudinal tube extending through the gasket and comprising a slot, and a dispensing tip having a longitudinal sleeve extending therefrom that also comprises a slot and is disposed concentrically around the upper end of the longitudinal tube. Liquid may be transferred from the lower reservoir to the upper reservoir by the application of pressure on the lower reservoir while the two slots are aligned. In a preferred embodiment, the container is rendered child-resistant through the provision of a cap.

  • Patent number: 6164498
Abstract: The present invention provides a container which provides a measured dosage of the contents of the container when pressure is applied to the top of the container. When not in use, the container additionally contains a locking member such that the contents of the container cannot be dispensed without repositioning the locking member to the open position.

  • Patent number: 5974574
Abstract: A method of checking a large and/or replicated databases includes forming a position sensitive checksum for each entry of the database to be used in the check. The checksums are then exclusive Ored with one another to form a first database checksum. Periodically, the checksums are again created from each of the entries of the check and a second database checksum formed and compared to the first for a match that indicate checked entries of the database have not changed. In another embodiment, a modification to one of the check entries may be provided, accompanied by a master checksum indicative of what the first checksum should be after the entry is modified. The database entry is modified, and a position checksum value for the entry as modified is created.

  • Patent number: 5944522
Abstract: An automatic cleaning device for delivering a cleaning fluid to a vacuum hose of a dental suction system is provided which automatically dispenses a measured amount of cleaning fluid into the vacuum hose each time that a dental instrument is changed. The automatic cleaning device includes a housing having a first end and a second end. The first end of the housing is adapted to releasably receive a hollow dental instrument, such as a suction tube. The second end of the housing is coupled to the vacuum hose. The housing of the automatic cleaning device includes a cavity which extends from the first end to the second end and a reservoir is disposed within the housing, the reservoir containing a cleansing fluid. A hollow piston is disposed within the housing and coupled to the first end of the housing such that receipt of the hollow dental instrument in the first end of the housing causes a forward-backward longitudinal movement of the hollow piston.

  • Patent number: 5328088
Abstract: A carton of recyclable material adapted to receive a stack of discarded newspapers to create a transport pack which can, in toto, be recycled at a recycling facility. The carton is formed by a pair of side walls having upper and lower foldable long flaps, and a pair of end walls having upper and lower foldable short flaps. Formed at the corners of the long flaps are latching tongues that are insertable into corresponding slots at the ends of the short flaps. The end walls are accordion-foldable, whereby the carton may be collapsed into a flattened storage state. To put the carton into its loading state, the carton is expanded, the lower short flaps are folded in and the lower long flaps are folded thereover, the latching tongues being then inserted in the slots at the lower corners of the carton to form a bottom ledge on which the newspapers are piled.

  • Patent number: 5150646
Abstract: A form adapted to facilitate the neat stacking and bundling of newspapers to be recycled, the form being composed of a pair of complementary sections whose dimensions are such as to accommodate folded standard newspapers and unfolded tabloids. Each section of the form is created from a cardboard blank that is scored, slotted and die cut to define a side wall and major and minor end walls at right angles thereto, each of these walls having a fold-in bottom flap. Projecting from the minor end wall is a locking tongue and cut into the major end wall is a slot to receive a locking tongue. To assemble the form, the sections are placed in opposing relation with their minor and major end walls overlapped, the locking tongue of one section being received in the slot of the other section. In its assembled state, the fold-in flaps of the walls are overlapped at the corners of the form to maintain its rectangular shape.
