Publication number: 20120028715Abstract: Two-way communications between casino games and diverse master controllers using a universal game module there between allows routing event messages with standard protocols. The universal game module with a computer processor, circuitry, connection ports, interfaces and protocols allows the communications by evaluating, prioritizing, polling and routing communications. A jackpot group of differing games is possible because the win cycles of the various games can be equalized. The volatility of the games in the group is increased by randomly segregating a percentage of the machines to be eligible to win the progressive jackpot for a limited time period. A life changing jackpot is thus payable for a variety of games in a casino on a relatively frequent basis.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 7, 2011Publication date: February 2, 2012Inventors: Rolland Steil, Clyde Ruckle, John Lord

Publication number: 20110017583Abstract: A method and apparatus for eliminating brine effluent from desalination plants by distillation, is disclosed. To eliminate the brine the salt is converted into a solid and all of the water in the brine is converted to distilled water. The key to achieving this is reducing or eliminating the scale formation in the heating chamber. In one embodiment the process can be used to reduce or eliminate scale formation in a vapor compression sea water desalinization system and there-by use this system to produce drinking water. This process requires no chemical additives but relies entirely upon separation of the process of vaporization of the fluid involved, from the process of heating of the fluid. In one embodiment of this apparatus sea water can be desalinated and the resulting products can be dry salt and pure water leaving no brine return to the ocean.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 26, 2009Publication date: January 27, 2011Inventor: Michael John Lord

Publication number: 20090217458Abstract: A cushion for supporting an infant on a support surface includes a reticulated foam pad having a base surface and an upper surface that extends upwardly therefrom, the pad being fluid permeable. The cushion also includes a covering surrounding the pad that includes an upper layer constructed, at least partially, from a breathable polyester sandwich fabric confronting the upper surface whereby fluid introduced onto the covering permeates through the covering and through the pad to the support surface. The reticulated foam has a porosity of between 5 and 20 pores per cubic inch, thereby being sufficiently resilient to support the infant above the support surface and sufficiently permeable to allow fluid to move through the pad.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 17, 2009Publication date: September 3, 2009Applicant: Summer Infant (USA), Inc.Inventor: John Lord

Publication number: 20090061863Abstract: An apparatus and a method for a terminal device control server. The terminal device control server collecting, storing and providing information (i.e. device intelligence) relating to a plurality of terminal devices in a mobile communication network. A policy based control mechanism can be used in conjunction with one or more authorization lists and the device intelligence to respond to requests from various elements in the network to allow or deny access to the network or to services within the network to specific terminal devices. The device intelligence can alternatively be used to improve the effectiveness of service offerings in the network by providing information associated with a specific terminal device to other elements that adapt their services offerings and interactions to the capabilities of the specific terminal devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 4, 2007Publication date: March 5, 2009Applicant: AIRWIDE SOLUTIONS, INC.Inventors: Robert Huggett, Nicholas John Lord, Mark Hopper, Jiwei Robert Wang, Martin Dennis Williams
