  • Publication number: 20120028715
Abstract: Two-way communications between casino games and diverse master controllers using a universal game module there between allows routing event messages with standard protocols. The universal game module with a computer processor, circuitry, connection ports, interfaces and protocols allows the communications by evaluating, prioritizing, polling and routing communications. A jackpot group of differing games is possible because the win cycles of the various games can be equalized. The volatility of the games in the group is increased by randomly segregating a percentage of the machines to be eligible to win the progressive jackpot for a limited time period. A life changing jackpot is thus payable for a variety of games in a casino on a relatively frequent basis.

  • Patent number: 7886384
Abstract: Provided is a sleep aid for use in reducing the risk of plagiocephaly including a cushion and a sleep position indicator. The cushion includes an elongate pad to accommodate a person in a reposed position such that the person extends along a longitudinal axis of the pad. The cushion also includes a casing surrounding the pad that has bottom and top panels. The sleep position indicator has an elongate dimension and is slideably supported by the cushion. A medial portion of the sleep position indicator is adapted to move transversely to the longitudinal axis within a slideway. The indicator may be moved between a first position where it visibly protrudes from a first side of the cushion to inform a first head orientation, and a second position where it visibly protrudes from a second side of the cushion to inform a second head orientation.

  • Publication number: 20110017583
Abstract: A method and apparatus for eliminating brine effluent from desalination plants by distillation, is disclosed. To eliminate the brine the salt is converted into a solid and all of the water in the brine is converted to distilled water. The key to achieving this is reducing or eliminating the scale formation in the heating chamber. In one embodiment the process can be used to reduce or eliminate scale formation in a vapor compression sea water desalinization system and there-by use this system to produce drinking water. This process requires no chemical additives but relies entirely upon separation of the process of vaporization of the fluid involved, from the process of heating of the fluid. In one embodiment of this apparatus sea water can be desalinated and the resulting products can be dry salt and pure water leaving no brine return to the ocean.

  • Patent number: 7757320
Abstract: A changing pad includes a resilient support that has a generally flat base with a bottom surface. A peripheral wall extends upwardly of the base to form a region wherein an infant may be placed. A strap assembly includes a first and second strap portions, each of which having one end secured to the resilient support proximately to the first and second bottom side edges, respectively. Cooperative fastening elements releasably connect to other ends of the two strap portions. The locations of the connections of the strap portions to the bottom edges may be set back an inset distance to allow use with fitted coverings.

  • Publication number: 20090217458
Abstract: A cushion for supporting an infant on a support surface includes a reticulated foam pad having a base surface and an upper surface that extends upwardly therefrom, the pad being fluid permeable. The cushion also includes a covering surrounding the pad that includes an upper layer constructed, at least partially, from a breathable polyester sandwich fabric confronting the upper surface whereby fluid introduced onto the covering permeates through the covering and through the pad to the support surface. The reticulated foam has a porosity of between 5 and 20 pores per cubic inch, thereby being sufficiently resilient to support the infant above the support surface and sufficiently permeable to allow fluid to move through the pad.

  • Publication number: 20090151080
Abstract: An infant sleep positioner for supporting an infant upon a support surface, including a cushion that has an elongate pad of a selected size and configuration. The pad has a lower surface adapted to confront the support surface and an upper surface opposite the lower surface. The upper surface may be oriented at an acute angle with respect to the lower surface such that the upper surface is inclined relative to the support surface along a longitudinal axis extending between first and second end portions of the pad. The sleep positioner also includes a sleep position indicator including a flap that is movably attached relative to the cushion between a first position to inform a first position of the infant with respect to the infant sleep positioner, and a second position to inform a second position of the infant with respect to the infant sleep positioner.

  • Publication number: 20090061863
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for a terminal device control server. The terminal device control server collecting, storing and providing information (i.e. device intelligence) relating to a plurality of terminal devices in a mobile communication network. A policy based control mechanism can be used in conjunction with one or more authorization lists and the device intelligence to respond to requests from various elements in the network to allow or deny access to the network or to services within the network to specific terminal devices. The device intelligence can alternatively be used to improve the effectiveness of service offerings in the network by providing information associated with a specific terminal device to other elements that adapt their services offerings and interactions to the capabilities of the specific terminal devices.
