  • Patent number: 12109119
Abstract: An orthopaedic knee prosthesis includes a femoral component having a condyle surface. The condyle surface is defined by one or more radii of curvatures, which are controlled to reduce or delay the onset of anterior translation of the femoral component relative to a tibial bearing.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 24, 2022
Date of Patent: October 8, 2024
    Assignee: DePuy Ireland Unlimited Company

  • Patent number: 12059356
Abstract: An orthopaedic knee prosthesis includes a tibial bearing and a femoral component configured to articulate with the tibial bearing. The femoral component includes a posterior cam configured to contact a spine of the tibial bearing and a condyle surface curved in the sagittal plane. The radius of curvature of the condyle surface decreases gradually between early-flexion and mid-flexion. Additionally, in some embodiments, the radius of curvature of the condyle surface may be increased during mid-flexion.

  • Patent number: 11982120
Abstract: The overhead door lift assembly integrates a traditional torsion spring and an electrically powered operator into a small package mountable in the available head space of conventional tractor trailers, cargo vehicles or other structures. The lift assembly includes a torsion spring counterbalance, electrical operator, and back tension mechanism. The electrical operator uses an electromagnetic clutch and gearbox that couples directly to the cable drums of the counterbalance. The electromagnetic clutch allows the overhead door to be manually raised and lowered in the event of a power interruption or operator malfunction. The back tension mechanism prevents cables from inadvertently unspooling from cable drums as the operator starts to move the overhead door from its horizontal open position to its vertical closed position.

  • Publication number: 20230404494
Abstract: A head-stabilizing apparatus is adapted to position a head of a patient undergoing a medical procedure. The head-stabilizing apparatus includes a patient locator and a patient mask. The patient locator includes a mouthpiece adapted to be placed in a mouth of the patient undergoing the medical procedure. The patient mask is configured to change between an unworn position in which the patient mask is spaced apart from the face of the patient and an patient-worn position in which the patient mask overlays the face of the patient and receives the head of the patient undergoing the medical procedure. The patient locator is configured to selectively couple with the patient mask.
