  • Patent number: 11912545
Abstract: A wireless hoist system including a first hoist device having a first motor and a first wireless transceiver and a second hoist device having a second motor and a second wireless transceiver. The wireless hoist system includes a controller in wireless communication with the first wireless transceiver and the second wireless. The controller is configured to receive a user input and determine a first operation parameter and a second operation parameter based on the user input. The controller is also configured to provide, wirelessly, a first control signal indicative of the first operation parameter to the first hoist device and provide, wirelessly, a second control signal indicative of the second operation parameter to the second hoist device. The first hoist device operates based on the first control signal and the second hoist device operates based on the second control signal.

  • Patent number: 6114873
Abstract: An array architecture built out of content addressable memories (CAMs) is disclosed. This architecture is re-programmable and exhibits pre-synthesis deterministic timing behavior. This architecture can be re-programmed to store control-flow as well as data-flow dominated applications. The target application is partitioned into basic functional units, which are then transformed to a representation suitable for storage in CAMs.

  • Patent number: 5465294
Abstract: A telephone disaster recovery process for quickly re-establishing long distance telephone service to a telephone LEC office after a telephone central office connected to the LEC office has been rendered inoperable by a disaster is described. The central office is located at a disaster site. The process operates by assessing the disaster and identifying elements of an on-site component needed to address the disaster. The elements of the on-site component are transported to the disaster site, and are mapped to corresponding elements of the inoperable central office. These elements of the on-site component are configured and interconnected according to the mapping to enable the on-site component to functionally emulate the inoperable central office. Then, the on-site component is connected to the LEC office, and is also connected to an off-site component using communication media in a long distance telephone network.

  • Patent number: 4549251
Abstract: The invention provides an advantageous shape of discharge tube and a discharge lamp including such a tube which is particularly beneficial for use in dimensions intended to replace general lighting service lamps but can readily be adapted to other sizes. The discharge tube is shaped to define a substantial part of the boundary of a substantially planar zone. The part of the tube defining the boundary includes at least one straight portion. In one embodiment it defines three sides of a square with the ends of the tube being re-entrant into the fourth side. In a preferred embodiment a support housing central to the zone holds the ends of the tube thereby supporting it. Preferably one or more arms extending from the support housing grip the tube between its ends for further support. The support housing may include some circuit elements and provides electrical connection to the lamp as well as providing a convenient point to handle the lamp.
