    Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system for managing patient healthcare and evaluating patient kidney function. A user creates a medical record for a patient, comprising a catalog of the patient's healthcare encounters. For each encounter, a plurality of modules are provided for defining various aspects of the patient's visit including patient demographics, medical history, current medical condition, diagnosis and treatment. Based on the patient's medical record and estimated glomerular filtration rate, a plurality of patient treatment recommendations are automatically generated. Another aspect of the invention generates clinical treatment goals for the patient. The invention is additionally configured to generate a plurality of reports including patient medical records, physician referral letters and clinical reports comprising an aggregation of various user-defined metrics extracted globally or semi-globally from among a plurality of patient records.
