  • Publication number: 20240145885
Abstract: Cell assemblies and methods for assembling cell assemblies include installing a plurality of cells within a cell housing and electrically connecting each cell to each other cell through at least one wire bond, wherein each wire bond is selected to conduct current from a respective cell during normal operation and to sever such electrical connection through the wire bond when a predetermined current exceeds a threshold value for a predetermined period of time.

  • Publication number: 20240108222
Abstract: A transmitting element for generating a magnetic field for tracking of an object includes a first spiral trace that extends from a first outer origin inward to a central origin in a first direction. A second spiral trace can extend from the central origin outward to a second outer origin in the first direction. The second spiral trace can extend from the central origin to the second outer origin in the first direction. The first spiral trace and the second spiral trace can be physically connected at the central origin to form the fluorolucent magnetic transmitting element and at least a portion of the first spiral trace overlaps at least a portion of the second spiral trace.

  • Patent number: 11369241
Abstract: A sweeper/vacuum ride-on cleaning system includes a vacuum and sweeping mechanism using a sweeper brush and vacuum brush in one cleaning head. A caster leveling system is used for setting the level of the head above the floor. A single motor drive system using a two-sided belt is used for driving the sweeper brush and vacuum brush. A dust management system using holes adjacent to a debris try for holding debris in the tray. A pivoting door access assembly is used for allowing the sweeper brush and vacuum brush to be accessed and removed from the side of the cleaning head. Finally, a bag cage with holes throughout each of its supporting surfaces is used for holding the vacuum bag and allowing air to escape from all sides of the bag to increase vacuum efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20220088626
Abstract: An electrostatic spraying wand includes a housing and a power source for operating an electrostatic generator. The electrostatic generator supplies a substantially high voltage to an electrode where a fluid is supplied to the electrode though a solution supply line. Thereafter, the charged solution is directed through a nozzle assembly. Since the electrostatic spraying wand supplies a charge to the cleaning fluid within the wand it can be used with a variety of devices enabling the charged solution to kill pathogens and other germs.

  • Publication number: 20190075992
Abstract: A mobile floor scrubber includes an orbital scrub head attached to a forward portion of its chassis. The scrubber head includes a rotary motor, an eccentric drive assembly and a floor engaging scrubbing pad which engages and cleans the floor. The eccentric drive mechanism introduces vibration in the orbital scrub head which is transferred to the chassis which reduces the energy used to perform the scrubbing task and reduces the operating efficiency of the floor scrubber. The floor scrubber further includes a cleaning fluid delivery system for providing a cleaning fluid to the scrubbing pad for application to the floor during the cleaning operation. The scrub head includes a first upper plate and a second lower plate arranged in vertically spaced relation, with both plates being generally planar and rectangular in shape.

  • Patent number: 8771794
Abstract: A method for treating flooring not designed for sanding and having a multi-layer wax finish reduces the frequency of stripping the wax layers down to the flooring and recoating the flooring in carrying out periodic maintenance on the flooring. A mobile floor treating machine includes at least one rotating brush which is driven at a first circular speed x for cleaning the flooring and is driven at a second circular speed y for removing the two uppermost layers of wax, where y?2x. The top remaining wax layer is then cleaned with the brush operating at the original circular speed x. Two layers of wax are then sequentially applied to the top remaining wax layer in replacing the two removed layers of wax on the floor and restoring the flooring to its original finish. The brush may be operated at 800-1500 RPM for burnishing and polishing.

  • Patent number: 6563012
Abstract: An immediate and visible temporary cosmetic improvement in skin condition is obtained by a multi-stage exfoliation method having one of several visible end points. Preferred methods involve repeatedly attaching specularly reflective exfoliation sheets having a pressure sensitive adhesive to a selected part of the user's body and then removing each sheet by grasping one edge and pulling it along the user's body. After each repetition the user inspects either the sheet that has just been removed, or a blemished area of the body to monitor the amount of exfoliated tissue. When the amount of tissue on a sheet is discernibly less than that removed in the immediately previous repetition, when a pattern of tissue on a sheet matches a pattern on a comparison strip, or when the blemish has been substantially reduced in size, the process is completed.

  • Patent number: 6290659
Abstract: An immediate and visible temporary cosmetic improvement in skin condition is obtained by a multi-stage exfoliation method having a visible end point and providing a margin of safety so that the user's skin is not significantly irritated if he or she ignores the end point and continues to carry out additional and unnecessary exfoliation steps. The preferred method involves repeatedly attaching transparent exfoliation sheets having a pressure sensitive adhesive to a selected part of the user's body and then removing each sheet by grasping one edge and pulling it across the rest of the sheet. A handle may be detachably adhered to each sheet for superior results. After each repetition the user inspects the sheet that has just been removed to monitor the amount of exfoliated tissue. When the amount of tissue on a sheet is discernibly less than that removed in the immediately previous repetition, the process is completed.

  • Patent number: 4133654
Abstract: Apparatus for treatment of exhaust gas from internal combustion engines, for use in underground mine workings, comprises an exhaust pipe with a water jacket, and a conditioner chamber retaining a bath of water through which the exhaust gas flows in passing through the inlet to the outlet of the chamber, the chamber further including means for condensing water vaporized from the bath by passage of exhaust gas therethrough and for discharging such condensed water back to the bath. The apparatus may include a heat exchanger upstream of the conditioner chamber and containing a system of plates or webs which sub-divide the gas flow path through the heat exchanger into passageways, the plates or webs being connected to the inner wall of a water jacketed casing of the heat exchanger.
