  • Patent number: 6571941
Abstract: A basket-style carrier is formed from a single blank and includes parallel first and second side walls, parallel first and second end walls, and a composite handle structure arranged between the first and second side walls. The handle structure has first and second handle panels secured together in a juxtaposed relationship. A first securing member is hingedly connected to the first handle panel and glued to the inside surface of the first end wall to create a joint between the handle structure and the first end wall. A first joint-reinforcing member is hingedly connected to the second handle panel and glued to the inside surface of said first end wall.

  • Patent number: 6176419
Abstract: A carton has top and bottom walls that are interconnected by a pair of opposed side walls to form a tubular structure. An end closure structure is provided at each end of the tubular structure to at least partially close that end. One or each of the end closure structures includes a bottom end flap, a pair of side end flaps and a pair of web panels. The bottom end flap is foldably joined to the bottom wall and extends upwardly. The side end flaps are foldably joined respectively to the side walls and extend to each other to traverse the respective end of the tubular structure and to cover at least part of the bottom end flap. Each web panel foldably interconnects the bottom end flap and the respective side end flap and is disposed in a face-contacting relationship with the inside surface of the respective side end flap. • Patent number: 4919269
Abstract: A multiple compartment, separable container includes a common top wall, with outer side walls connected to each side edge of the top wall. A bottom wall is connected to each outer side wall, with an inner side and a lap panel connected in turn. Each lap panel is secured in underlying fashion to the top wall, with the inner side walls in face-to-face relationship. A beveled end panel is connected to each end of the inner side walls. A minor end panel is connected to each of the beveled end panels. Lower end panels are connected to the bottom walls, with an upper end panel connected to each end of the top wall. A web structure interconnects each minor end panel with the adjacent end panels and lap panels. A tear strip defined by a pair of parallel, perforated tear lines extends across the top wall and across each upper end panel.
