  • Patent number: 7093019
Abstract: An automated login process is provided for a user connecting to a first server of multiple servers that are connected via a computer network. The server receives a connection to the user via a client data terminal, receives an identifier associated with a second server of the multiple servers, and authenticates the user based on the identifier.

  • Patent number: 7025346
Abstract: A system for determining the amount of media available to a printing device is presented. The system comprises a sensor and a disc containing one or more visual cues perceptible to the sensor. The disc is rotated by a coupled lifting member to lift a media handling tray to present any media stored thereon to a receiving printing device. The sensor generates a signal based, at least in part, on the visual cues provided from the rotated disc.

  • Patent number: 6731393
Abstract: A system and related methods for automatically identifying media type in a printing device media tray is presented. The system comprises a controller, and an optical sensor, communicatively coupled to the controller, wherein the sensor is positioned to locate and identify a code containing media type information from a next available piece of print media, and to generate a signal to the controller based, at least in part, on the identified code.

  • Publication number: 20030023627
Abstract: A method is provided for indicating a measure of a text fill copy fitting for a portion of text in a document. In this regard, the method comprises the steps of detecting a change in a text fill inputted into a text fill box in a computer system, measuring a length of the text fill, performing a comparison between the length of the text fill with at least one predetermined length threshold, and, indicating a compatibility of the text fill with an associated text portion of a document based on the comparison, the associated text portion incorporating the text fill.

  • Publication number: 20020163535
Abstract: Various systems and methods are described for generating a graphical user interface (GUI) from a template. In one embodiment, a system is provided that comprises a processor circuit having a processor and a memory. Stored on the memory and executable by the processor is GUI generation logic. The GUI generation logic includes logic to generate an input field in the graphical user interface that is associated with an input item in a template. The GUI generation logic also includes logic to generate an input field label in the graphical user interface from an input field tag in the template, wherein the input field tag is associated with the input item.
