  • Patent number: 10240638
Abstract: A bearing assembly for a vehicle includes an inner race having an interior surface and an exterior surface, an outer race having an interior surface and an exterior surface, a first sealing member disposed between the inner race and the outer race, the first sealing member having a sealing surface adjacent to the interior surface of the outer race, and a second sealing member disposed radially inward of the first sealing member and adjacent to a shoulder surface of the outer race, wherein the first sealing member permits grease bleed-off from the bearing prior to the first sealing member setting against the second sealing member.

  • Publication number: 20160273656
Abstract: A shaft seal system, operable to seal a rotatable shaft in an opening, comprises an inner wall defining the opening having a groove including a first, angled ramp portion and a second, positioning shoulder formed therein. A shaft seal assembly comprises a disc member having an outer diameter and a central opening extending therethrough. An elastomeric material, over-molded onto the disc member, comprises a diaphragm extending generally inwardly from the central opening, to define a shaft opening, a shaft seal lip extending radially inwardly from the diaphragm and an outer ring seal that extends circumferentially about the outer perimeter of the disc member. The shaft seal assembly is installed into the groove in the inner wall of the opening in the housing such that the outer ring seal forms a seal therewith.

  • Patent number: 5551707
Abstract: A composite seal of the type formed of a plurality of layers which provide a suitable fluid or gas seal between two rigid parts. The seal includes a layer of plastic material sandwiched between layers of elastomeric material, wherein the plastic and elastomeric materials are of a type not subject to cross-linkage bonding between the respective materials. The multi-layer seal is formed through use of an adhesive to bond the dissimilar layers to form a permanent multi-layer member.

  • Patent number: 5505294
Abstract: A stackable display includes a frame having an inwardly extending ledge, an upper edge portion, a lower edge portion, and an opening. The display also includes an upwardly facing top tray and a downwardly facing bottom tray each disposed within the opening of the frame. The top and bottom trays each have a horizontally disposed wall and at least one side wall attached to the horizontal wall at its outer peripheral edge. The side wall of the top tray is offset relative to the upper edge portion of the frame to define an upper interengageable formation. The side wall of the bottom tray is offset relative to the lower edge portion of the frame to define a lower mating interengageable formation which is adapted to interengage with the upper interengageable formation of a next adjacent display construction so as to assemble the display in nested, stacked relation.
