  • Publication number: 20160105539
Abstract: A vehicle interface docking system for dedicated short range communication equipped user device in a vehicle. The vehicle interface docking system includes a cradle mount mountable to the vehicle within line of sight of an operator. The cradle mount retains the dedicated short range communication equipped user device. The system further includes an antenna operably connectable with the dedicated short range communication equipped user device, a power source operably connectable with the dedicated short range communication equipped user device, a communications interface providing a communications pathway between the dedicated short range communications equipped user device and a controller area network of the vehicle and the antenna, and a central processing unit executing a vehicle-to-everything program.

  • Publication number: 20150145711
Abstract: An onboard vehicle detection system for detecting roadway items of interest. The vehicle detection system includes a central controller and a detection system connectable to the vehicle and operably coupled to the central controller. The detection system outputs a detection signal. A target device is connectable to the roadway item of interest and configured to receive the detection signal from the detection system and output a unique return signal to the detection system. The detection system receives the return signal and transfers the return signal for processing to the central controller, whereby the central controller identifies the roadway item of interest and determines a responsive action.

  • Publication number: 20150145713
Abstract: A vehicle detection system for determining the position of a trailing section relative to a forward section of a vehicle, such as a tractor-trailer combination. The trailing section is pivotally coupled to the forward section for driving movement therewith. The vehicle detection system includes a central controller and a detection system connectable to the forward section of the vehicle and operably coupled to the central controller. The detection system outputs a detection signal. A target device is connectable to the trailing section and configured to receive the detection signal from the detection system and output a unique return signal to the detection system. The detection system receives the return signal and transfers the return signal or other indicative signal for processing by the central controller, whereby the central controller determines position information of the trailing section, for potential use by a DSRC.

  • Patent number: 6526691
Abstract: A fishing accessory providing a combination fish club for dispatching a fish, gaffing a fish, or extracting a hook from a fish. The club includes an elongate rod having sufficient length and weight for striking and dispatching a fish. A handle is located on one end of the elongate rod for gripping the club, and an angular tip is located on the opposite end of the rod to provide a useful tool in extracting a hook or gaffing a fish. A receiving slot is formed in the angular tip with an open end for receiving a fishing line or fish hook. A pair of diametrically opposed grasping members are formed in the angularly tapered walls of the angular tip with projecting edge oriented toward the handle such that the grasping members may be used for extracting a fish hook from the throat of a fish or gaffing a fish.
