  • Patent number: 6536129
Abstract: A device for centering tools, such as saw blades, rotary cutters and the like which are circular and which have bores of different sizes, on processing machines such that they can be positioned about their center axes. The device includes a mount adapted to be attached to such a machine, and a slide coupled to the mount and adapted to move relative to the mount. A first bearing is coupled to the mount, and a second and third bearing are coupled to the slide and mounted for movement on the slide selectively toward or away from the first bearing. The first, second and third bearings are configured to engage the bore of the blade such that the bore is centered on the machine and the blade is rotatable about its center axis.
