    Abstract: An inner panel for an overhead console for a vehicle may be secured to an interior of an overhead console door and includes a plurality of slots arranged in a pattern to facilitate sliding and locking attachment of a plurality of accessory holders. The plurality of slots includes at least two generally parallel slots to facilitate insertion and sliding of corresponding tabs of the accessory holder between an insertion position and a locking position and at least one skew slot adapted to receive a corresponding tab of the accessory holder in the locking position and retain the accessory holder in the locking position.

    Abstract: An overhead console assembly and headliner combination for a vehicle includes a headliner having an upper surface, a lower surface and an elongated channel formed therein. An overhead console mounting arrangement securable to the headliner including opposing first and second rails having a rail extension and a power connector arrangement in communication with a vehicle electrical system. One or more accessory modules are selectively positionable and removably attachable to the opposing first and second rails with an accessory module mounting arrangement. The accessory module including a module housing, a door pivotally mounted to the housing and a storage area defined within the housing configured to receive and store items. The accessory module includes at least one electrical connector disposed on an outer surface of the module housing which engages the power connector arrangement on one of the opposing first and second rails to supply power to the accessory module.

    Abstract: A dockable connection assembly attached to the ceiling of a motor vehicle so that passengers can enjoy watching a display monitor at desired and comfortable angles while still being able to access the electrical components of the display screen and its counterparts in video technology. This structure allows for the screen to move at all angles, whether it be up, down, clockwise, or counterclockwise. The structure also has a safety feature that will allow for disengagement in case of emergency situations. This dockable connection assembly comprises a retainer assembly, a connector assembly, and a harness assembly. The retainer assembly provides the support for the entirety of the dockable connection assembly by holding the connector assembly and the display monitor onto the ceiling. The connector assembly provides for the electric connection a point of contact and allows for the rotation of the display monitor.

This system allows the display screen to slide across tracks to any desired position along the track for more comfortable viewing of the display screen by the passengers in the motor vehicle. This system allows for the display screen to utilize a dockable connection so that the electrical connection is made at the point of connection, which is outside of the interior of the ceiling or side panels. This lateral track movement system comprises an upper reinforcement assembly, a carrier assembly, a lower reinforcement assembly, at least one wire, and a spool.

The sun visor is further selectively attachable to the vehicle at a center support. When a sun visor is required for a different make or model of vehicle, only the visor blade is changed; thus, production and inventory costs are reduced.
