Abstract: A storage apparatus is provided. A storage apparatus can include a storage device having one or more unique device identifiers disposed in, on, or about the storage apparatus. One or more computer readable and writeable data storage areas can be disposed in, on, or about the storage apparatus. One or more computer readable data storage areas can also be disposed in, on, or about the storage apparatus. One or more computer readable instruction sets can be disposed in, on, or about the storage apparatus. The execution of all or a portion of the one or more computer readable instruction sets can be contingent upon the successful authentication of all or a portion of the one or more device identifiers.

Abstract: Methods for processing a video stream are provided. One embodiment comprises generating a comparison signature for a frame of a video stream and comparing the comparison signature to a reference signature. In another embodiment, a method comprises generating a reference signature for a frame of a video stream and assigning an action to the frame containing the reference signature. Example system embodiments for implementing the aforementioned methods are also provided.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for the self-administration of a plurality of doses of an intranasal liquid pharmaceutical composition, including opioid analgesics, that includes a drug delivery device containing a plurality of sealed vials, each vial containing a predetermined volume of the pharmaceutical composition, a pump assembly for conveying the liquid pharmaceutical composition from the interior of the vial and discharging it as a nasal spray in response to manual activation by the patient, and programmable means for sequentially advancing a vial to the ready position after passage of a prescribed time interval following the last activation of the delivery device.

Abstract: An index validation system comprises a processor and a validator accessible by the processor. The validator is adapted to access index data corresponding to video data and validate the index data after editing of the video data.

Abstract: A method of guaranteeing a minimum sustained data transfer rate to a chosen device connected to a USB bus. A set of filter drivers are inserted in the driver stacks for at least two USB devices. These filter drivers are controlled by a filter driver controller that provides and receives information from the filter drivers. When a particular device needs a minimum sustained bandwidth for a transaction, the filter driver for that device notifies the filter driver controller. The filter driver controller then instructs the filter drivers for at least one other device to start interfering with USB transactions. This interference prevents the interfered with devices from using any of the USB bus bandwidth thereby providing a minimum sustained bandwidth to the non-interfered with device.

Abstract: A cartridge and system are described for automatically metering a predetemined dosage of a medicament. The cartridge includes a tab on its exterior, and a dispensing gun which receives the cartridge has a detent for stopping forward movement of the upper end of a trigger when the detent contacts the tab on the cartridge. When the detent contacts the tab on the cartridge, no further medicament can be dispensed on that stroke of the trigger.
