    Abstract: A flushometer including a sanitation unit is described herein. The sanitation unit may be configured to emit ultraviolet light in response to the flushometer effectuating a flush of the fixture. The ultraviolet light may sterilize and/or sanitize a plume caused as a result of the flush. The ultraviolet light may be emitted for a predetermined amount of time to sterilize, sanitize, and/or kill any pathogens contained in the plume. Additionally or alternatively, the sanitation unit may emit the ultraviolet light periodically. For example, the sanitation unit may emit the ultraviolet light in response to receiving one or more signals from a gateway and/or server. The sanitation unit may provide an environmentally friendly solution that reduces water consumption and/or cleans, sanitizes, and/or sterilizes plumbing fixtures, toilet seats, etc. between uses without the need for harsh chemicals and/or cleaning solutions.

    Abstract: A battery-free flushometer includes a combination of a power generation system, a power storage system, and/or a power management system to enable the flushometer to operate without the need for connection to an external power source, changing spent batteries, or recharging spent batteries using an external power source, as well as structures supporting this functionality. The flushometer may include a valve assembly. The power generation system may include a hydraulic turbine assembly positioned downstream of the valve assembly and configured to generate power using the water discharged through the outlet, and/or a photovoltaic cell configured to generate electrical power by converting light energy to the electrical power. The power storage system is electrically connected to the power generation system and includes a power storage device to receive and store electrical power generated by the power generation system. The stored electrical power can be used to actuate the valve assembly.

    Abstract: A user at computer A submits material from an application APPN A onto the clipboard at that machine. A routine CLIP SEND, part of conferencing software P2P-A at computer A obtains a list of available formats for the material on the clipboard, and transmits this list to a second machine, computer B. This list is received by conferencing software P2P-B at computer B, and a routine CLIP RECEIVE, part of P2P-B, submits the list to the clipboard at that machine. The user at machine B can then embed an object originally from APPN A by OLE pasting into an application at computer B, APPN B. in the normal manner.

    Abstract: A system and method for processing digital images are presented. Prior art systems and methods compare all corresponding pixel locations as between two images before transmitting the difference therebetween to receiving apparatus. A significant factor in the length of time taken to compare two digital images and transmit to a receiving terminal the difference therebetween is the number of pixels which have to be compared or processed. As between successive images many pixels remain constant and any changes are generally localised. The invention performs a comparison between a first and second image to determine the location of the localised areas. Thereafter, successive images are compared only at the locations within or neighbouring the localised areas. Therefore, a significant reduction in the number of pixels to be compared can be realised by focusing processing efforts on such localised areas thereby resulting in an increase in processing speed.
