Publication number: 20220403282Abstract: The present invention relates to an internal lubricant composition comprising two or more esters in which each individual ester has a carbon chain length of between 20 and 44. The internal lubricant composition may suitably be incorporated in to a polyester polymer matrix, preferably comprising PET, PETg or PLA. Use of the internal lubricant composition in a polyester polymer matrix to improve processes for manufacture of final products from the polyester polymer matrix is also contemplated.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 2, 2020Publication date: December 22, 2022Applicant: Croda International PlcInventors: Adam John Maltby, Dimitrios Vgenopoulos

Patent number: 9328307Abstract: A novel, branched, saturated, primary fatty acid amide is disclosed. Application areas are as a slip and/or antiblocking agent or mold release agent. The branched, saturated, primary fatty acid has a formula R—CO—NH2 where R is a saturated, branched hydrocarbon chain having 11 to 23 carbon atoms, wherein at least 60% by weight of the R—CO—NH2 molecules have monoalkyl branches and less than 25% by weight of the R—CO—NH2 molecules have polyalkyl branches.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2014Date of Patent: May 3, 2016Assignee: CRODA INTERNATIONAL PLCInventors: Jonathan David Townend, John Latus, Philip John McCoy, Adam John Maltby, David Andrew Parker

Patent number: 6202100Abstract: A user at computer A submits material from an application APPN A onto the clipboard at that machine. A routine CLIP SEND, part of conferencing software P2P-A at computer A obtains a list of available formats for the material on the clipboard, and transmits this list to a second machine, computer B. This list is received by conferencing software P2P-B at computer B, and a routine CLIP RECEIVE, part of P2P-B, submits the list to the clipboard at that machine. The user at machine B can then embed an object originally from APPN A by OLE pasting into an application at computer B, APPN B. in the normal manner.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 1995Date of Patent: March 13, 2001Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: John Maltby, Simon Phipps, Vince Singleton

Patent number: 6088394Abstract: A system and method for processing digital images are presented. Prior art systems and methods compare all corresponding pixel locations as between two images before transmitting the difference therebetween to receiving apparatus. A significant factor in the length of time taken to compare two digital images and transmit to a receiving terminal the difference therebetween is the number of pixels which have to be compared or processed. As between successive images many pixels remain constant and any changes are generally localised. The invention performs a comparison between a first and second image to determine the location of the localised areas. Thereafter, successive images are compared only at the locations within or neighbouring the localised areas. Therefore, a significant reduction in the number of pixels to be compared can be realised by focusing processing efforts on such localised areas thereby resulting in an increase in processing speed.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 1997Date of Patent: July 11, 2000Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventor: John Maltby

Patent number: 4094417Abstract: A bracket device for a shelving or display system consists of a body and one or more support members removably attached to the body. The bracket body is adapted to be mounted on an upright. It has a series of open ended, part-circular recesses disposed in and about its periphery for receiving support members. Each support member has a corresponding part-circular tapered part which slides into and engages one of the recesses so as to be retained in the recess and another part for projecting through the mouth of the recess and supporting an element of the shelving or display system.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 1977Date of Patent: June 13, 1978Assignee: Cairnes Maltby Associates LimitedInventors: Denis Alan Cairnes, Derrick John Maltby

Patent number: 3986689Abstract: A drive arrangement for an aircraft control surface has an inner shaft extending through a hollow outer shaft. The inner and outer shafts are drivingly connected at their adjacent ends. A drive input is coupled to the outer shaft intermediate the ends thereof, and an actuator for a control surface is drivingly connected to the outer shaft between the drive input and one of the ends. The arrangement permits the actuator to be driven even if the outer shaft fractures between the actuator and the drive input.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 1975Date of Patent: October 19, 1976Assignee: Lucas Industries LimitedInventor: Peter John Maltby
