Abstract: Various embodiments herein disclose scheduling relay of traffic. The method comprises, selecting a second client device from a plurality of client devices. The second client device is located in communication range of the first client device. The first client device is communicating a first portion of a data flow, via a first wireless link, with a first access point of the one or more access points. The method comprises, in response to determining satisfaction of one or more relay criteria: directing the first access point to generate a second wireless link with the second client device; and directing the first access point to provide first metadata including a first set of relay instructions. The first set of relay instructions instructs the second client device to relay a second portion of the data flow between the first access point and the first client device via the second wireless link.

Abstract: A method for providing enhanced visibility in heterogeneous network. The method comprises receiving, at a networking device housing a cellular base station and a WLAN access point, cellular network traffic from an electronic device. The method further comprises receiving, at the networking device, WLAN traffic from the electronic device and encapsulating, at the networking device, the cellular network traffic and the WLAN traffic using a common protocol. The method further comprises transmitting the encapsulated cellular traffic and the encapsulated WLAN traffic to a controller.

Abstract: In the method for monitoring communication in a wireless communication network, a network explorer may be passively attached to the wireless communication network. The network explorer may store data associated with received communication over the wireless communication network and performs an analysis on the stored data. Abstract: A method of determining cells for deletion in a network design, in which the network is simulated to generate statistics for each cell of a given group of cells. The statistics of each cell are evaluated based on a given ranking criteria. Based on the evaluation, the cells of the grouped are ranked, with a highest ranked cell being deleted from the network design based on the ranking criteria. The method may enable the selecting of desired cells for deletion, either during site selection of a design for an initial network deployment, or for a network overlay and upgrade of an existing network, in an effort to reduce cell count while maintaining a desired cell coverage in the network.
