Abstract: Glow-in-the dark animal collars are provided, in which photoluminescence elements formed from thin flexible sheets or films with luminescent properties are secured to strap members of conventional animal collars with stitching patterns that prevent creasing, folding or delamination of the photoluminescent elements without having to use glue, adhesives, or epoxy materials.

Abstract: A device for dispensing gloves used to protect from germs and the like has a housing forming a substantially vertically extending inner chamber and configured for accommodating a stack of packages each containing gloves, a rotatable transporting element having one portion extending outwardly of the housing to be activated by a user and another portion extending inwardly into the housing such that when a stack of packages with gloves is introduced into the inner chamber it rests on the transporting element, a dispensing window providing in the housing, so that when the transporting member is turned by a user a lower most one of the packages with gloves is transported by the transporting element from the inner chamber of the housing through the dispensing opening outwardly.

Abstract: A device for dispensing tongue dispensers has housing forming an inner chamber for accommodating a plurality of tongue depressors arranged in stack and having a dispensing opening, a unit for displacing the stack as a whole so as to move one of the tongue depressors in the stack to a dispensing position, and an inclined guiding unit guiding the one tongue depressor from the dispensing position through the opening so as to extend at least partially outside to be grasped by a user.

Abstract: Methods for generating and maintaining confidential medical information, and in particular electronic medical records, that are operative to both preserve the secrecy and confidentiality of such information, but further enables medical information to be generated for purposes of research, public health, or healthcare operations. According to a preferred embodiment, confidential medical information is input into a conventional electronic medical records system and maintained in a first format, but is further converted to a second format whereby such information is purged of all patient information and identifiers. Such de-identified data is compiled on a routine basis, such as a daily basis, and forwarded to an entity certified to receive such information pursuant to a research or data use agreement.

Abstract: A power tool for torquing a threaded member of a movable device, such as a pipe nipple of a gas meter sent for repairs, comprises a rigid disk with a bore to fit the nipple so that the disk can be placed against the meter, a block attached to the disk to prevent its movement, a reaction arm that cam be rotatably fitted on the nipple and locked to the disk, a torque arm that can be clamped on the nipple adjacent the reaction arm, and a hydraulic cylinder with its opposite ends connected to the reaction and torque arms to provide the force to move the torque arm.
