  • Patent number: 7793419
Abstract: A cutting and forming tool assembly is disclosed that cuts and forms many types of material while remaining easy to use. The tool assembly may include a cutting or forming and an underlying board. The cutting and forming tool has a drive assembly and a shaft assembly contained within a housing. The shaft assembly of the tool assembly reciprocates and at least partially rotates during each reciprocating motion. The housing may be of various shapes and configurations, such as for example egg-shaped, computer mouse-shaped, or pen-shaped. The drive shaft contains a tip that protrudes from an opening in a lower portion of the housing during at least a portion of a downward stroke of the shaft assembly.

  • Patent number: 6186504
Abstract: A puzzle apparatus for providing a user with a challenging puzzle to solve. The apparatus includes a housing having at least one opening therein, a matrix of shaped color-producing media disposed within the housing, and a plurality of generally interengaged, slidable tiles carrying color-producing media thereon, the tiles being proximate the opening of the housing. A light source radiates light through respective ones of the shaped color-producing media of the matrix, then through respective ones of the color-producing media of the slidable tiles, and then to the eye of the user such that at least some of the light seen by the user has passed through both a color-producing medium in the matrix and a color-producing medium in one of the tiles. The respective color-producing media interact to produce a light color other than that which would have been produced if the light had passed through only one of the color-producing media. The slidable tiles are relatively arrangeable to produce a solution to the puzzle.

  • Patent number: 5297981
Abstract: A toy ball in accordance with this invention includes a hollow sphere with spaced apart resilient knobs extending outwardly from the sphere and an internal mechanism that causes a random motion and bouncing of the ball. A safety switch is also provided to prevent injury to a user or damage to the toy while it is disassembled.

  • Patent number: 4680021
Abstract: A multi-action toy vehicle which includes a chassis having wheels coupled thereto. A changing mechanism supported on the chassis changes the center of gravity of the vehicle. A control lever operatively coupled to the changing mechanism acts to control and set the changing mechanism in desired positions. In a first embodiment, the changing mechanism inlcudes weights whose positions can be changed by the control lever. In a second embodiment, the changing mechanism includes a sliding platform to which the rear wheels are coupled so that the wheel base of the toy vehicle can be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 4568309
Abstract: A multi-action toy vehicle which includes a chassis having first and second rear wheels rotatably supported thereon. The toy vehicle includes first and second arms pivotally supported on the chassis proximate the rear wheels, which each include a projection. A weighted lever is movably supported on the chassis, which selectively changes the balance of the toy vehicle depending on the position thereof. The lever also selectively contacts the first and second arms to cause the first and second projections to selectively extend through the chassis. The projections will contact the surface on which the toy vehicle is riding to cause the toy vehicle to perform multiple actions.

  • Patent number: 4547169
Abstract: A conductive fluid activated device for use in toys and the like is provided. The device includes resistive responsive circuitry adapted to produce various sounds or to control electric components such as motors, solenoids and the like. A fluid retaining reservoir is adapted to receive probes which extend from and are connected to the circuitry. Various configurations of the reservoir and the probes allow the resistive responsive circuitry to respond differently depending on the configuration of the reservoir and the probes by sensing resistive changes created by the presence and motion of various fluids in or passing through the reservoir and probes.

  • Patent number: 4476648
Abstract: A motorized toy vehicle actuated by liquid such as water is provided. The toy vehicle includes a frame having wheels rotatably supported thereon and a motor operatively coupled to the wheels for rotating the wheels. A reservoir having a float disposed therein is supported on the toy vehicle frame. A switch selectively actuated by the float is coupled to the motor. When a predetermined amount of liquid is present in the reservoir, the float will actuate the switch thereby turning on the motor.
