  • Publication number: 20240398474
Abstract: An exemplary ablation system is provided. The system is designed for safe and efficacious energy delivery into tissue by, for example, emitting energy in a controlled, repeatable manner that allows for feedback and energy emission titration based on sensed parameters (e.g., tissue temperature) measured during ablation. The system may include a switching antenna for both heating of target tissue and radiometry to monitor the temperature of the heated tissue. For example, the switching antenna may include a monopole formed by proximal and distal radiating elements, such that the proximal radiating element includes a short to defeat a choke action of the proximal radiating element. The system further includes a processor for calculating the temperature of the target tissue and estimating volume of the ablation lesion based on the target tissue temperature.

  • Patent number: 11206562
Abstract: An apparatus determining characteristics of radios within a communications network includes a radio, RF signal sensor, analyzer, and computer. The radio transmits RF signals, has transmission operating parameters with respective predetermined values having respective thresholds and a identifier, and has an air operating mode where signals comprise the identifier. The sensor receives the signals having characteristics correlating with the operating parameters. While the signals are received during the operating mode, the analyzer measures the signal characteristics and determines health of the radio by analyzing whether the measured characteristics transmitted are within the respective thresholds of the values, and concludes that health is acceptable if the measured characteristics are within the thresholds, and concludes that health is unacceptable if at least one measured characteristic is outside a threshold.

  • Patent number: 11153772
Abstract: An apparatus determining network health comprising base stations in bidirectional communication with radios, each having an identifier and transmitting a signal including the identifier. First and second health determining radios each receive the signal during normal over-the-air operation of radio and determine if the radio is authorized and, if so, determine the identifier, time-separated signal waveforms that are compared, operating characteristics from the compared waveforms, and a current location of the radio. Each of the radios determine health of the radio based on packet sniffing, a frequency deviation, or a range of deviations by analyzing the operating characteristics. After analysis results sent to the master controller from the radios indicate that the authorized radio is healthy, the master controller determines from the analysis results that a geographically unhealthy location of the network exists within the geographic area from which the authorized healthy radio transmitted the signal.

  • Patent number: 10893139
Abstract: A shared communication system associates a plurality of owner profiles with the device and processes user interaction requests based on information included in the owner profiles. The communication system classifies incoming requests based on whether the results of a request should be personal to one user, shared among several users, or generic to all users, and processes requests according to the classification. In one embodiment, the user request is targeted at establishing a video call session between a user of the communication system and one or more other target recipient users of a communications system. The communication system determines which user to associate with the outgoing video call based on which user has the target recipient in an associated contacts list.
