    Abstract: Disclosed is an annular ear cushion for an earphone configured to be worn at an ear of a user. The ear cushion is configured to abut the head of the user along an annular contact surface of the ear cushion and to abut or face a housing of the earphone along an annular attachment surface of the ear cushion when the user is wearing the earphone in its intended position, thereby reducing the level of sound entering the ear canal of the user from the environment. The ear cushion further comprising an annular exterior surface and an annular interior surface each extending from the contact surface to the attachment surface and facing respectively the environment and the ear canal of the user when the user is wearing the earphone in its intended position. In one aspect, the method additionally comprises deploying a bronchial isolation device in the direct pathway to regulate fluid flow to the targeted lung region through the direct pathway. The therapeutic agent can comprise, for example, a sclerosing agent that induces a reaction that causes sclerosis in the lung tissue.

A handle is adapted to move the outer shaft relative to both the inner shaft and the handle while the inner shaft remains fixed relative to the handle so as to eject the bronchial isolation device from the housing.

    Abstract: Disclosed are methods and devices for regulating fluid flow in one or more lung regions that are supplied fluid through one or more collateral pathways. An identified region of the lung is targeted for volume reduction or collapse. The targeted lung region is then bronchially isolated to inhibit air from flowing into the targeted lung region through bronchial pathways that directly feed air to the targeted lung region. If the targeted lung region does not collapse after bronchially isolating the targeted lung region, then it is possible that a collateral pathway is feeding air to the targeted lung region, thereby preventing the targeted lung region from collapsing. In such a case, the collateral pathway is identified and air flow into the targeted lung region via the collateral pathway is reduced or eliminated.
