  • Patent number: 6356581
Abstract: An apparatus and method thereof for sampling multipath signal data in a receiver. The apparatus includes a plurality of demodulators coupled in parallel, each of the plurality of demodulators receiving digital baseband signal data and demodulating the digital baseband signal data, a controller coupled to the plurality of demodulators, and a timer coupled to the controller. The timer generates a controller interrupt at a specified frequency. The controller interrupt causes the controller to sample demodulated signal data from the plurality of demodulators. The specified frequency is greater than the symbol rate.

  • Patent number: 5038719
Abstract: A dog leash for a runner includes a belt portion and a tether portion which is quickly shortened. The tether portion includes a handle with a readily graspable hand-sized strip of flexible material forming a loop with an opening at least the size of a hand. A portion of the handle is disposed approximately midway on the tether portion and is connectable to a clip on the belt portion to shorten the effective length of the leash. The belt portion is substantially one-piece with the tether portion and includes quick release and adjustable buckles.

  • Patent number: 4862936
Abstract: A traction-enhancing device that is releasably attached to vehicle tires. A rigid base member having a central core and plural arms radiating therefrom is placed into overlying relation to the side of a tire. Plural flexible cords and rigid rod members in axial alignment therewith interconnect a like number of tread-overlying road-gripping members to a capstan mounted centrally of the base member. Rotation of the capstan draws the road-contacting members radially inwardly into tight-fitting engagement with the tire and effectively creates an enhanced tread. Counter rotation of the capstan enables the road-contacting members to be swung away from the tread so that the device can be removed from the tire.

  • Patent number: 4164853
Abstract: A cooler for barrels of beer is comprised of a container which supports the barrel and has a sufficient volume to envelope the barrel and is adapted to contain a cooling media. The container has a top and bottom which are removably sealable to isolate the barrel of beer from the atmosphere. Insulation means are provided to encompass the beer barrel. Means for pressurizing and withdrawing the beer are provided which are external to the container. The cooler is self-contained and is portable.
