  • Patent number: 5378299
Abstract: A method of making a balloon includes providing two balloon films and providing two valve films. The two valve films are placed one on top of the other and then inserted between the two balloon films. Then a portion of each of the valve films is tack sealed to its respective adjacent balloon film. The valve films are then sealed together to form a valve passageway therein. During the valve sealing step, the balloon films are held in a fanned out manner. Finally, the balloon films are sealed together along the perimeter thereof to form the balloon.

  • Patent number: 5248275
Abstract: A balloon includes a pair of overlying valve film strips disposed between a pair of overlying balloon films, which include neck and body portions. The valve film strips extend at an angle to a central axis of the neck portions, and valve seals formed in the valve film strips direct incoming gas from an inlet adjacent the neck, to an outlet between the body portions. Methods of assembling the balloons by forming the valve seams and neck seams without moving the balloon films or valve film strips is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4983138
Abstract: A one layer self-sealing, self-regulating, two-way flat valve for fluid containers, such as toy balloons and the like formed of two heat sealed film layers, is provided. The container having two container film layers joined at the perimeters thereof, an exterior opening in one of the layers, and a valve film layer attached to an inner surface of the same container layer. The valve film layer forms an integral fluid channel through which fluid is guided into the container from the exterior opening such that as the container attains maximum fluid capacity, the fluid channel automatically collapses. Perpendicular creases which form along the container surfaces cross the fluid channel to effectively seal the container.

  • Patent number: 4633392
Abstract: A digital processor system including several function modules where each modules includes circuitry to perform at least one computational task and circuitry to transfer information containing that module's respective computational task capability to a logical arbiter upon initialization. Each module further includes circuitry to interface to the logical arbiter upon initialization to determine that module's address. Further disclosed is an information bus that connects all function modules together with the logical arbiter. The presence of the logical arbiter provides for a self-configuration capability upon initialization.

  • Patent number: 4562535
Abstract: A digital processor system including several function modules where each module includes circuitry to perform at least one computational task and the circuitry to transfer information containing that modules respective computational task capability to a global memory upon initialization of each module and further circuitry to interface to the global memory upon initialization together with circuitry to interface to the global memory to determine each modules address. Further included is an information bus connected to the function modules and the to global memory. This system configuration allows for the system to self-configure upon power up intialization.

  • Patent number: 4133302
Abstract: An infant incubator. A substantially rectangular patient support tray forms the floor of an occupant compartment. A substantially rectangular plate is disposed beneath the tray to define therewith a return flow path for taking atmosphere from the compartment from opposite longitudinal edges of the compartment floor. A base is provided beneath the plate to define therewith a delivery path for supplying atmosphere to the compartment at opposite transverse edges of the compartment floor. The base includes a heater to heat the atmosphere flowing over the base under the action of a centrally located impeller indirectly coupled to a motor located beneath the base. Humidifying means can also be provided.
