    Abstract: A method for analyzing non-metallic inclusions in a weld metal. The method includes etching a weld bead or weld bead sample to at least partially expose a plurality of non-metal inclusions in the weld bead or weld bead sample, applying a conductive tape to and then removing the conductive tape from at least a portion of the etched weld bead or weld bead sample, and analyzing the non-metal inclusions on the conductive tape.

    Abstract: An automated wire harness machine is capable of manufacturing a wire harness in an automated process. The wire harness is generally a plurality of bundled, preferably un-stripped, insulated wires. Each un-stripped end portion of each wire is preferably terminated by an electrical terminal in one of a series of electrical connectors of the wire harness. Each connector has at least one wafer which houses a plurality of terminals. The wire harness machine utilizes a pallet that holds all of the wafers of one wire harness. A conveyor transports the pallet and wafers through a series of stations which perform automated manufacturing steps. The first station is a terminal inserter which inserts and locks the terminals within pre-assigned cavities of the wafers. The next station is an automated wire loader which measures, cuts and crimps the two ends of each wire into the respective terminals of the loaded wafer assembly.

    Abstract: A monolithic vent pipe flashing for use with a vent pipe projecting from a surface, such as a roof. The flashing includes a primary barrier with an upper surface and a lower surface, with the lower surface abutting the surface from which the vent pipe projects. A vent pipe cover is attached to and extends from the primary barrier. The vent pipe cover includes a vent pipe cover bore for receiving the vent pipe. The vent pipe cover body includes a first end and a second end, and the first end is attached to and overlaps a portion of the lower surface of the primary barrier. A secondary seal barrier is at least partially attached to the portion of the first end overlapping the lower surface of the primary barrier. A method of manufacturing a vent pipe flashing is also disclosed.
