  • Publication number: 20060190969
Abstract: A removable vehicle entertainment system is provided. The system includes a video display screen for displaying entertainment to an occupant of the vehicle. The system can be removed from the docking bracket in the vehicle, and attached to an external docking station such that the system can be used independently of the power supply and speakers of the vehicle. Further, the system can be used as a self-contained personal entertainment system. The system includes mechanical and/or electrical componentry that determines audio mute and video display configuration based on a power signal and a docked signal.

  • Publication number: 20060082961
Abstract: A vehicle multimedia system having a safety interlock mechanism. The vehicle multimedia system comprising a portable multimedia unit having a support sensor for sensing support thereon and a docking station configured to interlock the portable multimedia unit therein. The docking station comprises a main frame having a receiving port to receive the portable multimedia unit. The main frame includes a locking assembly for securing the portable multimedia unit to the main frame and a microprocessor for communicating with the locking assembly and the support sensor.

  • Patent number: 4880186
Abstract: The improvements of the organization and operation has to do with an adhesive that temporarily bonds the internal surfaces of two flexible envelopes equidistantly spaced from each other over the entire surfaces facing each other, the space between the walls bonded together separates upon pressurization of a foam between the walls dispersed by a hollow perforated hoop tube to disperse the foam under pressure evenly, while acting as an anchor of the flexible double wall to the deployment cylinder interior and gas and plastic catalysts reservoir within the container, on the end of the container are flanges as standards for interconnecting modules, hatches, and space craft; multiple function of deployment container offering perimeter as protective shield.

  • Patent number: 4829767
Abstract: Apparatus for the control of a mounting table and the like utilizing wires made of temperature responsive material such as nitinol to position the table. Current flow through the wires cause the movement of the table which is mounted to permit tilting in any direction and rotation as well. Some of the wires are diagonally arranged to effect the rotation of the table.

  • Patent number: 4793572
Abstract: The invention concerns the forming of vertical thrust by rotor blades and their subsequent stopping to act as wings, by changing the angle of of attack of the individual stationary blades during foward flight. The horizontal movement of each blade is independent from one another around the perimeter of the central rotor axis hub, and the opposing diagonal set's move up against each other and interconnect to become an integrated single wing from the two separate blades. A common pivot is utilized across the intersecting edges of the blades comprising the singular wing to have this common pivot hinge between them to allow changes in pitch of the leading and trailing parts of the wing. Such joined blades acting as wings are able to move together to accomplish a variable swing wing movement that would include swept foward and back configurations and infinite changes of their attitude between those two extreme positions.

  • Patent number: 4791011
Abstract: A set of two panes of transparent material brought within proximity to being plane parallel of each others surfaces facing each other; an equidistant space between them is maintained by a perimeter moulding of elastic material enclosing within the two panes a space that is filled with a colloidal liquid of composition, that by compressing the panes together permits light and other electromagnetic wavelengths to pass due to its varying thickness; the compressible elastic perimeter connecting the panes edge together as along its internal edge a trough depression acting as a reservoir for the colloidal liquid to go to when the panes are compressed together by C clamps compressing the panes when their cams are actuated. The panes are held apart by the elastic perimeter moulding.

  • Patent number: 4742680
Abstract: A cylinder with one end convex, upon said end a disk with a hole in it sits upon it to act as a pivoting mounting plate; stretched nitinol wires are strung down the sides of the cylinder from the edge of the disk to the opposite end of the cylinder rim edge. Each wire is fed an independent voltage to cause length wise contraction of the wire. A computer harmonized actuation of the contractions and relaxations of the lengths of the nitinol wires causes the attitude of the disk mounting plate to change.

  • Patent number: 4690140
Abstract: Apparatus mounted on the end of a catheter for use in the removal of deposits lining the interior wall of a blood vessel comprising an endoscopic tube for lighting and viewing the region of the deposits and mechanism for controlling its movement. A rotating cutting device is provided. Clear liquid is circulated around the endoscopic tube to insure proper visibility while provision is made to bypass some of the liquid to suck in and remove the debris.
