    Abstract: A structural column comprises an inner sleeve comprising a first non-glass material, at least one sheet comprising bulk glass, and an outer sleeve comprising a second non-glass material. The inner sleeve has an outer surface and an inner surface defining a hollow interior of the structural column. An inner surface of each sheet is adjacent to at least a portion of the outer surface of the inner sleeve. The outer sleeve has an inner surface that is attached to at least a portion of an outer surface of each sheet, and the inner surface of the outer sleeve is attached to at least a portion of the outer surface of the inner sleeve. The inner sleeve and the outer sleeve can have a rectangular shape in cross-section. The bulk glass can comprise soda lime glass, and the first non-glass material and the second non-glass material can comprise high-density polyethylene.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method comprising: providing a refuse collection comprising a first polymer mixture in an amount of greater than 0 wt % to less than 100 wt %, wherein the first polymer mixture comprises a second polymer mixture, wherein the second polymer mixture is about 20 wt % to about 100 wt % of the first polymer mixture and comprises at least one of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), or any combination thereof; granulating the first polymer mixture to form a third polymer mixture; and extruding the third polymer mixture to form an article having a strength of about 200 psi to about 5,000 psi.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a concrete composition comprising: a) a cement in an amount of about 25 wt % to about 70 wt % based on a total mass of dry material; b) a rubber in an amount of about 15 wt % to about 35 wt % on a total mass of dry material; and c) fine aggregates in an amount of about 10 wt % to about 35 wt % on a total mass of dry material; wherein the concrete composition is substantially free of coarse aggregates. A pivoting electrode is connected to the pivoting support device and configured to extend into the hollow casing. A second electrode is connected to the control assembly and extends into the hollow casing within the range of motion of the pivoting electrode. An electric power source is connected to the pivoting electrode and the second electrode, wherein charge on the electrodes produces a current arc between the pivoting electrode and the second electrode. A lift mechanism is positioned proximately to the hollow casing to control the electrodes position within the hollow casing.
